Simod Cup Final

Could anyone provide the line-ups of both the Reading and Luton teams for the Simod Cup final, as I can't seem to find them anywhere?

Ta!

From memory:

Reading
Steve Francis
Colin Bailie
Steve Richardson
Keith Curle
Martin Hicks
Les Taylor
Stuart Beavon
Neil Smillie
Linden Jones
Michael Gilkes
Mick Tait

Not sure of the Luton line up, but they had Les Sealy in goal, didn't they? And the headband wearing Steve Foster.

I though MacPherson played not Curle, but there you go.

And I thought it was spelt Bailie.

And Beavon.

Keith McPherson?!? He didn't play for Reading until around 1990, I think!

And yes, I spelt a couple of names wrongly as I wasn't really paying attention to spelling, just remembering who was playing!

I'm trying to remember the name of that diving cheat who played for Bournemouth in the later years after he played for Luton in this cup final.

Also, I'm fairly sure that Gary Peters and Jerry Williams came on as subs.

His brother Brian may have played in the final but there's now way that Mark Stein played as he would have been too young.

Er, no. I seem to remember a big thing being made of these two brothers at the time as they were playing well for a team that was still involved in all three cups at the time.

We were the first to knock em out of a cup competition that season. ;)
