Winchester Royal Too many people would rather sit on their hands and watch the match..

Nothing that a few life time bans couldn't sort................who are these people who only go to watch the game, who needs them :?

... would be impressive if the west stand joined in ocassionally
Which chant would you like us to join in with??

The one started by the Northern part of the East stand?

Or the one that starts 30 seconds later by the Southern part of the East stand?

Or how about the one that the drummer then decides to start 30 seconds after that, which has a beat totally different to the other 2??

Just wondering...............

Hopefully the west stand will be able to join in the minutes silence.
:D :D :D :D :D

Must admit been a bit lazy at the last few games when the chant goes to stand up for SC I sing it but don't actually stand. The kneses are begining to give me Jip at my age,

However, this Monday I shall sacrifice the knees and stand up for SC.

I find this chant/action even more tedious than even Steve Coppell probably has all season.....(whilst actually trying to watch and manage whats actually going on pitchside).

However, the last home game....two minutes from the end ...I agree a standing ovation is "bang in order" for god and his players (regardless of the score and our final league place.....and where our gladiators may end up playing next season................they have all, to a man, done us proud.....league , cup or friendly).

So yes, at this time, I would finally be happy to stand up in the N stand

....and for a change,

two minutes applause for the "living instead of the dead" would be nice.

Sometime it feels it's more about wanting fans to stand than to give our appreciation to Coppell. To do this once or twice during a game will have more impact than trying to get everyone to stand every 10 minutes.

yes

why stand?

the seats are comfortable.....this aint Loftus Road...after all

its just about kids who never experienced standing in the Southbank January 1974 imho.

damp, smelly, over-run with opposition fans, no facilities (other than the "Police meat wagon (Bedford RL)" parked right by the South Bank entrance)

Smelly smell of damp whitleyite with bad tooth breath

The odd one or two "hard men" goading the opposition fans..................then running to find a safe haven and solstice behind the kids and dads

Nicotine stained parkas and damp raincoats

Narizz Fizz

power cuts....football being played on a Sunday before the sun went down

Percy Freeman

Seats?

Elm Park 1973-1980

you never had it so good  them were the days

Can I have some Brownie points please... I am Mr Super Loyal Fan.

I keep telling my kids that, and that we should send letters that take 1 day to reach the destination rather than an email that takes 1 second. I tell them that they should spend an hour and go upto the library to check out a fact rather than spend 1 minute on the P.C.
Colour telly kids... ridiculous, black and white is what you want to watch!
And while you are at it kids go and get that film developed from the camera rather than download them straight from the memory card.

Tonight I must tell my kids to go to bed with no dinner as they are not worthy fans like yourself as they have only been supporing Reading since 1995 and 1997 respectively (the days they were born) -Bloody Plastics.

How dare my kids be so young!!

You obviously don't often look at the west stand. That remark is the sort of lazy thinking that is perceived wisdom.

Anyone waking up Henleyensian and Woodcote Royal from their west stand slumber with such unreasonable volume will have me and Mr Angry to deal with. The loud selfish bastards will be standing up for penalties next!

Why don't you encourage them to participate?

"Can you hear the West Stand sing?"

might hopefully get a response of

"We're the West side, We're the West side, We're the west side of the ground"

Oh and then actually give them a chance to sing and join in before singing over them with a completely different chant

if the west stand weren't so busy eating the prawn sandwiches they might sing a song or two, but ill give it to the south stand they are getting more vocal with each game shame they didnt come out of the shadows of the east stand a bit earlier in the season

If we're at the Mad Stad just for a singing competition then the East Stand win every time, However it's only a small area of the East Stand.

It's a shame those who sing don't take it upon themselves to spread out a bit more to fill in the gaps and get those around them joining in.

I would do but I think the people whose laps I'd end up sitting on might object.
