Its his own fault - shouldn't have got too close to the pitch knowing that OMR was the ref.

BBC Sport And Reading's mascot Kingsley the lion, got a little too close to the pitch while roaring his team on and was quickly spoken to by referee Mike Riley.

Kingsley was in contravention of the 'no predators on the pitch rule', which seemed to be in place at that time judging by the limp forward lines

Officially sent off not for being near the pitch but for dissent shown to the Ref.

What a ledge!

That's it for 2006/7. He'll be suspended for three matches. Will the ban carry over to next season?

Coppell Well I could see where the referee was getting confused he does look like so many of my players. 6' 5" and it is understandable that Mike Riley got into a little bit of a mess with it but he sorted it out in the end and sent him to the stand. I'm sure it will be a lesson learned for him.

I thought something was about to kick off after the foul the way he ran over. Stupid melodramatic tw*t. What was the point?

It was all in good taste of fun - no point anyone trying to think otherwise.

Seriously speaking though, Riley has got oxf*rd all derestriction over Kingsley so i'm suprised with whatever happened. I watched that interview though and it only serves to make me think that Coppell would be the funniest/driest man down anyones local pub. What a man!

It just sums RiLOLey up really. What a joke.

Seriously I think he needs to go to specsavers if he can't tell humans from a 6ft 5" lion!!!!
