I nominate Coppell for that one

BBC Sport - Quotes of the week "I can see where the referee was getting confused - he does look like so many of my players."
Reading manager Steve Coppell after their giant lion mascot, Kingsley - who wears the club colours - was ordered from the touchline during the Newcastle game because he was confusing the officials.

Player of the season Ivar. Shorey a close second.
Most improved player Hunt.
Best signing DLC.
Goal of the season Lita's first at Man City
Match of the season Spurs (h). To come back from behind to beat a Big Team(tm) after losing the previous 5 (4 in the league) showed real character.
Result of the season Chelsea (a).

Of course people are entitled to their opinion but Stephen Hunt player of the season Jesus oxf*rd Christ!!

We may aswell be back in the dark days of Div 3.

I would like to congratulate those on here who have an obvious appreciation and understanding of football matters and gone for either Ingimarsson and Shorey as possible player's of the season.

And maybe Sonks cos he's our superman!!

Player of the season =/= best player in the squad.

I can see why he's getting votes.

I disagree, as I think he's too often completely numptilike less than a minute after he's been completely brilliant. But then again, who doesn't love a player like that?

Exactly. Yesterday in the pre-match preview on Sky he used the phrase "woopdeedoo" during an interview.

This makes him either a genius or a complete numpty and for the life of me i can't make up my mind which.

Goal of the season - SEOL v West Ham
Match of the season - READING 3-2 MIDDLESBROUGH
Result of the season - CHELSEA 2-2 READING

I've gone for our opening day win as 'match of the season' simply for our sheer cheek in storming back from an awful start to take all 3 points in our first ever Premiership match. Fighting performance that set the tone for the season.

Player of the season Shorey

Most improved player Hunt

Best signing Coppell for another 2 years

Goal of the season Seol v West Ham - stunning strike, 3 points away, and more pressure on our ex Manager.

Match of the season Chelsea (a) - to get a result away at the Champions on top of everything else associated with that game, added to superb play by #13 on the day.

Result of the season Reading 3- Boro 2. To come back from 2 goals down to win is so rare (only 2 other occasions this season in the whole of the Premiership) and to do it in our first ever game at this level....magical.

Other options could be:

Worst away performance?

Worst home performance?

Worst pundit about Reading?

Worst pre-season prediction by a hob-nobber?

Worst away performance?
READING 1-3 PORTSMOUTH (Just didn't turn up).
Worst home performance?
READING 0-4 ARSENAL (The only time we have really rolled over all season).
Worst pundit about Reading?
MARK LAWRENSON (Lawrenson has consistently ignored our results, and his continued poor predictions are awful punditry).
Worst pre-season prediction by a hob-nobber?
BRACKNELLRFC (I don't know if he predicted anything, but if he did, it would have been relegation by 20 points unless we bring in Dave Bassett).
