Player of the season: for me its Ivar, hes been an unsung hero at the back, held it together and controls the back four with a huge presence.

Most improved Player: has to be Hunt, for a player who struggled to dislodge Convey last year has really stepped up to the plate when called upon. a true battler who has been through alot this season

Signing of the season torn between de la and Bikey. De la Cruz is a player who you can depend upon filling in at both fullbacks with ease, very shrewd signing from sir steve. Bikey, who in my opinion will prove to be an excellent player in the hooped shirt, strong when called upon and a future star

Goal of te Season Doyle's away goal at Sheffield Utd, in the top 5 quickest goals ever in the premiership! a really good finish

Match of the season has to be borro at home, which kick started our season when all others said we would fail

Result of the season 6-0 against the hammers, a true all round performance![/b]

Player of the season: Ingi - always present & always able

Most improved: Hunt - He showed me I knew nothing about who would be successful in the Premier League

Signing of the season: De la Cruz is another example of Coppell's ability to see what others miss.

Goal of the season: Shorey's against Tottenham. After a string of losses and growing concern following our excellent start to the season, Shorey's goal was, in my view, a vital turning point in the season. We went on to win the match and quickly reach the 40 point milestone.

Match of the season: Middlesborough - It built vital confidence.

Result of the season: West Ham - It was a pinch me I must be dreaming moment.

This is a good point actually there have been a few crucial moments where we've been looking flat/out of games and SHorey has totally changed things. Against Spurs was a vital goal, but against Boro we looked plain f***ing pettrified until he ran about 70 yards mid/late first half...

A real catalyst for good things this season.

Player of the season: Shorey - made the step up to the Premiership with ease. Looks a class act.

Most improved: Lita - Mid season when Seol was playing up front instead of him was a real wake up call for Lita. Since then his attitude and workrate have improved dramatically, and he's been rewarded with goals

Signing of the season: Seol - he may of gone off the boil, but his early season performances gave us momemtum, and there is no doubt he has the technical ability to be a good Premiership player.

Goal of the season: Lita away at Man City. Great move, classic Reading counter attack. Showed everything this team is about.

Match of the season: Reading 3 - 2 Middlesborough. Love a good comeback, and gave us the belief that we could compete at this level.

Result of the season: Reading 3 - 1 Spurs. After a tough run of fixtures when we were starting to be written off, what a way to bounce back. Also you could argue probably the 'biggest' club we've beaten this season.

Player of the season - Ivar Ingimarsson has proved me and many others wrong, and has not been found out at the higher level. Been ever present and outstanding

Most improved player - Hunt, but I had doubts whether Murty would be up to Premiership football, so he comes a close second

Best signing - For consistency of performance, it must be De La Cruz, but for excitement when on form, then Seol

Goal of the season - Shorey v Spurs, Seol vs Sheff Utd (away), Seol vs West Ham (away), De La Cruz vs Sheff Utd (home), Sidwell vs Aston Villa (home). I'm torn!

Match of the season - Middlesbrough (home)

Result of the season - hard to choose one, but M'boro, Man Utd and West Ham at home were all special

I think the Boro result was crucial to our season! At 2 - 0 down there was a danger we could have lost that heavily and if that had happened we would be down there scrapping with the bottom clubs I am sure. The comeback and subsequent win gave our squad the self-belief that they were premiership material! And they are!

The other important win was the one at home to Spurs when we were on a bad run (albeit against the top clubs!). But the Boro game was surely the defining moment of our season?

Apparently Player of the season is between Ivar,Shorey and Harps. I'd vote for them in that order.

Has to be Ivar

(if Gunnar had had the privilege of playing more games...it would have been him)

Marcus was faultlesss against N'Cassel (even after the offside flag went up...he pulled off a brilliant save...bar one ...The Michael Owen Show) and has been immense for much of the season

Shorey (for England)...runs Ivar a close second...obviously

Doyler....Irelands best prospect, courtesy of Reading FC

......but for the rest of the world that do not know us

Peter Mate (sadly) 100% scoring record...1 game , 1 goal

nice hair tho'

Tilehurst End Quote of the season: Alan Curbishley in his aftermatch press conference " I put on another defender at half time because I could see them getting 8 "

My quote of the season has to be - "The intertoto cup, we don't enter bike races"

Also whilst reading this i have to come to one conclusion - that the vast majority of us Reading fans believe that Stephen Hunt is the most imporved player of the season and i think there should be an officail club award at the end of each season for most improved player along with the old traditional player of the season, because the most improved player will very rarely be the player of the season and i think it is important to reward players in this way
