blue_army_wokingham also, why is it that the announcer reads out the bench line up before the actal starting line up?? its rubbish, the announcer is actually a muppet.

It's true folks, some people will actually moan about anything.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

By the way, why are the seats blue? I mean, when sunny it takes the shine out of my face. Sort it out RFC.

In fact, why do those bastards at the club make the sun shine in anyone's face? Sort it out RFC!

And when that windmill casts it's shadow over the pitch and you can see the shadow rotating it puts me off the game. Sort it out RFC!

Um... Isn't the wind turbine North of the stadium, so that its shadow is never on the pitch?

There's also a clue in the name of the stands, particularly the one it's behind.

Typical RFC build the stands the wrong way around. Can't get anything right

That's not actually so far from the truth.

If you look at the original 1997 plans, the away supporters we going to be at the other end. I even think they started selling Season Tickets in May 98 with that in mind.

But the police objected as they wanted away fans' coaches to be able to park closer to the exits (ditto getting police in and arrested fans out quickly) and so the away fans' stand was hurriedly changed.

I've never seen the shadow across the pitch. Even at a 12 something kick-off. Isn't it too far away for that?

Surely you wouldn't see much of a shadow at 12 noon regardless as to where you are; the Sun will be at its highest point, so the shadows will be at their shortest....

With the police cells in the SE corner and the main TO, reception and megastore at the north end it would have seemed daft to put the away fans in the North Stand.....
