My highlight of 1996/97 was Archie's 2 goals in injury time against Wolves.

Lowlight? The 6-1 hammering at home by Palace.

Highlight - Too many to say just one
Lowlight - Away to Portsmouth. A poor performance proceeding the defeats to Chelsea and Arsenal, and preceeding the Liverpool defeat.

Highlight- Some great performances
Lowligh- Sorry excuse for home and away support, poor numbers away- bolton brought more to us than we did to theirs- to put things into perspective.

Highlight - Doyle's goal against Sheff Utd after 16 seconds

Lowlight - Losing to Blackburn at home after improving so much second half. Was a fab goal by Bentley though!

Daniella Lowligh- Sorry excuse for home and away support, poor numbers away- bolton brought more to us than we did to theirs- to put things into perspective.

Yeah, we never sold out our home support.

And it doesn't matter whether Bolton took more fans, its how many tickets we sell and how many they give us.

HTFH

Oh and :

Highlight - Proving EVERY pundit wrong, and obviously the draw at The BROFLidge. Home to spurs and away to Bolton.

Lowlight - Pompy (a). Wigan (a). Watford (h).

Highlights: So many to mention really:

The comeback against Boro on the opening day
Doyle putting us ahead at Villa Park, "We Are Top The League"
Neville's handball and Doyle despatching the penalty against Man Utd
Beating Spurs 3-1 at home following a difficult run of games
Lita's goal and "That own goal" at Chelsea!
Sonko equalising at Old Trafford
The demolition of West Ham
Watching us live on tv against Everton in Chicago hit home at how far we'd made it
Gunnarsson's strike against Liverpool
3-1 win away at Bolton what a last 10 minutes
The immense proudness at the final whistle yesterday knowing how far we have come in my time of following Reading for 20 years.
2 out of the 3 promoted teams going down, with us fighting for a UEFA cup spot! That gap in quality we had last year was never in doubt again this year.

Lowlights:

The fall out of the Chelsea home game left a really sour taste and one that I'd not like to see a repeat of.
Portsmouth away was a pretty shambolic display
Watford home game was a poor game and kind of makes you think about a lot of "What if's"

Highlight - West Ham both at home and away. Enjoyed both in much the same way

Lowlight- Liverpool's late winner in a game we could have wrapped up and even dropping the one point has proven costly.

Highlight: having the season to prove we're premiership quality
Lowlight: having the season end with the feeling of anti-climax re: europe

It's odd how I would have been happy with 16th at the beginning of the season and yet as soon as the hope of Europe is on the horizon, things changed.

I'm sure next season will be as much a roller coaster as this one.

Highlights - hearing so much praise for the team from opposition fans, managers and the media. 135 years of largely lower division anonymsity brushed away in the last 2 seasons !

Away at Bolton, Doyle against Boro, goals 1-7 against West Ham, matching Man Utd and Chelsea over 6 games

Lowlights - the quite disgraceful behaviour of Chelsea FC over the Cech affair, the lack of respect shown to the team by some of our fans, missing out on Europe thanks to 2 refereeing decisions (and a few defensive errors, missed chances etc !)
