As discussed ad nauseum, unlikely.

Sid

Thanks for your contribution as part of the team that got the club I have supported for 35 years to where we are now.

All the very best for the future, whatever it may hold for you.

Thanks, Sidders, especially for the professionalism and commitment you have shown this season and notably over the past month or two.

I'll be disappointed if you have gone to Chelski and I'll be more disappointed if you are bench warming... You're ready to take over from Scholesy.

Time for RFC to move on and I have no doubt that Sir Steve already has "irons in the fire" for a similar replacement - not that we really need one.

So proud of everyone at the club for what has been achieved, not only over the last 38 games but over the last 16 years. I

t's a bleedin' long way from chanting: "We want to play at Didcot" when getting whalloped by Oxford at EP at the time of the Thames Valley Royals being mooted.

G'arn URZ!~

Well done Sid.

You were awesome last season, not quite so great this imho, still a great great player for RFC. We will miss you until next season starts. The club is bigger than the one player.

On a professional level, I'm dissappointed that you may go to Chelsea or Man U. I don't think you're quite good enough (prepared to be proved wrong!!) and it may be a bad move for you, but all the very best. I'm sorry £25k a week isn't enough for you either. Spare a thought for the people that would never earn that in a year.

U effing R's!....8th in the league. Amazing stuff.

Cheers Steve for the 4 and a half years of consistent and unstinting effort , committment and no little ability during an unprecedented time in our Club's History. You will be missed for your influence both on and off the pitch within our squad.

Best of luck for the future, although with the greatest respect, i obviously hope you end up regretting your decision to leave.

Nothing but a rock in the midfield for us and scored some very timely and important goals for us in his time here. You will be missed

How very mature.

I know it is difficult to underdstand and we are all very upset to be losing one of the clubs better players, but Sidwell is not an RFC supporter and does not feel the same way about the club as we do. He sees it simply as an employer and now has the chnace to double his salary and take a chance at a large club. Who knows what will happen to him next season as to whether he plays many games, but who knows when another opprtunity to go to such a large club will come up again, so he has to take his chance now.

We whould be thankful to Sidwell for helping us get to where we are, but life goes on and we can survive without him and I am looking forward to seeing who is signed to replace him.

Also takes away a ginger from the midfield, so double whammy for H&P!

Thanks for being a good solid pro for us, never slacked, never could be accused of doing less than your best.

Time is probably right for us to part, you want more money and we need to develop and the last 2 seasons have suggested that you've taken us as far as you can.

Good luck whatever you do. Keep the yellow cards down to a minimum, get a new pair of shooting boots and keep the credit card limit high so the wife stays happy.
