We've had one season here, we're not established in anyway. We may finish 8th next year, we may finish 18th.

With Celtic he'll know he'll finish 2nd at worst and have CL football evey season.

being scottish its perfectly understandable he'd want to play for Celtic, as for the relegation battle, other than being wrong he's just using it as an excuse to justify his own decision.

To claim he'll test himself against ManU, Barca, Real Madrid... well thats the luck of the draw and he may play against one or two of those teams over the life of his contract. Whilst playing 150+ games against the likes of Falkirk, Motherwell, St Mirren & Gretna. I know what I prefer.

I really doubt the bloke gives a flying one what we do to be honest.

He had a simple choice, Celtic or Reading and chose to give his reasons behind it. The choice was a no brainer really, I'd have chosen Celtic as well and I'm a Reading fan.

That surely depends on your situation. He's a Scot and probably would have preferred to stay in Scotland. I wouldn't have chosen Celtic, personally, but I can understand why he would chose Celtic as he isn't from Reading or even from the south of England.
