Not too bothered TBH.

Liverpool are murdering scum but Milan shouldn't even be in the tournament.

Maguire Milan, but I don't care really.

The CL is a big old farce and it's ruined beyond redemption now anyway, so who cares if a side wins it who haven't been champions of their own country in as long as I can even remember.

Milan to win 3-1.

4 of the last 8 CLs have been won by sides that have also won their leagues in that season. This whole 'tournament devalued' thing has been invented by jealous supporters of other British teams.

Jealous of what?!

How can the "best team in Europe" finish 3rd in their domestic league?

Bring back the old format! the Champions League for Champions

Regardless of what peoples views are of the current Champions League, if Liverpool do win it tonight you can't take anything away from what a great achievment it will be to have won it twice in three years. Benitez might have made some poor signings, played negative football and been nowhere in the league for three years, but his record in Europe speaks for itself.

If they do win it I hope it's properly, not on penalties as it does detract from the occassion and achievment somewhat.

and if they lose surely Beneitz should be criticised for putting all his eggs into one basket? once chelsea were knocked out of hte CL the scousers were smug as shit, but if liverpool lose, what have they did this season? won a community shield? :?

Remember DoyLOler said it's United that are the obsessed ones.

Liverpool fans go to a European Cup final and burn Man Utd shirts, couldn't make it up. Why can't they enjoy the day, after all as DoyLOLer said they're the most successful English team of all time so why are they bothered about Man Utd?

I guess it must be hard to take seeing your rivals win 9 titles in the last 15 year when you've won none.

I believe it's what DoyLOLer called envy.

Around 150 Liverpool fans have been left devastated after the last charter flight out of John Lennon airport for the Champions League final was cancelled.

Supporters were left in tears after they were told the Jet Time Airways 12.15 flight to Athens was being grounded because of a technical problem.

Many had paid hundreds of pounds for the flight and cup final tickets.

Airport spokesman Robin Tudor said: "It is particularly disappointing for us as it has been a fantastic morning with a great atmosphere among all the fans travelling to Greece."

A statement from the travel company said: "The problem we have been told was due to a faulty fuel gauge.

"Unfortunately having established that the part could not be dispatched to Liverpool airport in time from Stansted the plane was grounded due to technical reasons."

Meanwhile, two Liverpool fans have been injured after 50 supporters fought for a single cup final ticket in Athens.
Police in Greece said around 100 drunken fans became embroiled in the row. The two men were treated in hospital.

With Athens city centre now a sea of red, the fight highlights a source of anger among the thousands of Liverpool fans in the Greek capital.

Just 17,000 tickets have been allocated to Liverpool supporters, with AC Milan getting the same number.

But 6,000 of those will go to corporate ticket holders. Rumours that Milan have handed back 4,000 tickets are untrue, says Uefa.

British police say there are 25,000 Reds in Athens - but the club says the figure is more likely to be 40,000.

Some tickets are reported to be changing hands for 5,000 euros.

One supporter, John Milce, said: "I'm prepared to pay 400 euros for a ticket, and am cautiously optimistic of getting one for that amount or less before kick-off."

:: Police in Greece arrested a 27-year-old English man accused of selling 28 forged tickets for £28,000.

It would have been murder had United got there, for the sake of English football it was probably the best thing to have happened.

Still, I'm sure there will be another flight tomorrow and they will only be a day late...

To be fair I think it's pretty harsh to mock the Liverpool fans that are going to miss out on the game especially if they have tickets.

Ok to mock those those infighting and burning rival shirts but to laugh at grown men crying when the airline has fcuked up? Below the belt.

Agreed, there would be a lot more than a few liverpool fans crying.
They wouldn't dare burn a shirt in open public had united been out there for fear of an absolute hiding.

What exactly is your point? :? You're saying 4 of the last 8 CLs have been won by teams that weren't Champions of their own country, and you don't think it's been devalued?

Fukk me - Liverpool are a nothing club living on past glories. Not sure how I, a Reading fan, has jealousy as a motiviation when I would have had no issue with chelsea winning it.

past glories?

they won the CL two years ago ffs. (ps no idea of how they'll do tonight, but beaten finalist is sort of OK too.)

Chelsea and Man U would die for such a record.
