RG30 Does this mean Reading fans can stop singing "Shorey for England" and find him a good chant?

You would think so, but it has demonstrated fan power.
Constantly singing this, it getting picked up by the media and then McLaren, has probably been a significant factor in getting him picked. Who do we want to push forward for England next season?

Oh and congratulations Nick but Wayne Bridge will start against Brazil & Estonia and the best you can hope for is a 30 minute run out against Brazil.

Nick Shorey whoa! Nick Shorey whoa! He's only 5 foot tall, he always gets the ball!

He has had a better season than Bridge, so should hopefully play.

I was so proud watching him come out with the No. 3 on his back for England B.

His full call up has put the cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake for this season!

Just seen some of the England training session on SSN, they were playing a practise match. On Shorey's side were Robinson, Carragher, Terry, Gerrard, Lampard, J.Cole, Beckham & Owen (didn't make out the others). Maybe I'm being stupidly optimistic but it didn't half look like an A Team v B Team match....

Also just said Bridge is carrying a knock, things are looking good.

Just watching Sky Sports and they were showing the England team training - Shorey was on the same side as the following

Smith - Owen
Cole Lampard Gerrard Beckham
Carragher Terry Ferdinad?
Robinson

Wayne Bridge has taken a knock and was not playing so Shorey could be starting on Friday
