They're the same design, except for our hoops. Socks and shorts are the same and the shirts are the same. They have the same neckline and bit of colour which goes around the back of the shirt.

I think that the shirt is the same design as Liverpool's, Man Utd's and Arsenal's, bar the the colour.

Obviously our colours will be different but that's not what's being said, we're discussing the design which is clearly from the same template as the Spurs kits last season and half a dozen nations at the last world cup that wore Puma.

Don't see why the mugs that wear football shirts out and about are complainng, that shirt will look much better with a pair of jeans/shorts than the revolting red and yellow one did.

And that's the whole point. It's designed to appeal to the "Casual Culture" as people on here like to refer to it. To go nicely worn outside a pair of designer jeans and with a pair of Nike trainers.

Probably gonna sound very boring here but from a player's perspective if it is a grey/black kit these are certainly not ideal colours when playing- look what happened to the Man U grey kit- player's hated it!

Anyway, I'm sure there will be plenty purchased which will make it a success off the field but we'll see next season what will happen on it.....

My thoughts entirely.

As a football kit it looks anonymous and it will not be easy for someone to pick out a player when attempting a 50 yard cross field pass.

At pitch level it does. Also I have never seen 20,000 people at the Mad Stad wearing blue and white hoops.

I would like to see some proof that it doesn't stand out and will be detrimental to the team. The only incident people refer to is the Man Utd debacle at Soton. Which I thought most people had taken as just being an excuse for them playing crap rather than anything else.

There is no way that in modern football that a Premiership club would have a shirt that is going to have a negative effect on vision/performance.

It's a dark kit. How doesn't it stand out? In the same way that you can never see the Ref when he wears black? And the way that Newcastle players are forever looking bemused as to why the player they were just about to pass the ball to has vanished?
