Royal Lady I think he means if we don't bring in top quality players, like the other teams, then the side we had last year (minus Sid) just won't "cut the mustard" and I tend to agree. However, it's early days and a couple of good signings will change some people's minds.

i dont think massive foreign investment guarantees business success anywhere, especially not in the premiere league
there is a long list full of examples of teams, managers, and chairmen who spent big and got nowhere.
there is a very short list of teams who spent nowt and prospered and it currently reads......
