Greatest/wierdest/infamous/enigmatic Reading fan ever?

by OldBiscuit » 19 Jun 2007 22:01

Close season, bored, so joining the extremely silly survey clique.

In my opoinion it must be 'Mad Frankie Henry' and his regular drink inspired one man pitch invasions back at Elm Park in the mid seventies. He got nicked each time, but was back at it the next home game!    :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Mel Smith

He bets on Reading losing, but must have been to every Reading game ever.

That bloke with long thin brown/grey hair.

He's had the same coat for at the 19 year that I've been going to games.

Remember seeing him at a FA Cup tie at Bridgwater in '71 wearing that coat!

y24. Mad Millwall bloke. Millwall away about 1999,2000 ish - went mental and incited a war. Seemed to love it. Likes to wave every time the slightest derogatory comment comes from the guests.

Angry bloke. Pissed off constantly. Annoyed about losing possession when 5-0 up and winning the league vs Derby. Seemed surprised when told of his title at the start of the season.

Bloke who does a twirl and a dance every time we get a corner. Sits in disgust when we score. :?

In the stands in the mid-1970s me, my brother and my Dad were surrounded by very odd people. In front was a bloke who always brought his two sons and swore blind that Neil Webb was the worst player who ever played for Reading and behind us was a very shy couple who always came in their biking gear and talked in broad West Country accents and used to bring their own bovril in a flask and compare notes on it saying things like: 'Oooh,,aaaaahah, nor as noice as last weeek be it?'.

The fat old guy with the hilariously bad ponytail who rather disconcertingly hangs around with his own gang of chav teenage boys the whole time.
