Jim McIntyre is our worst ever striker by miles. Ended up shoved on the wing, and not exactly busting a gut for us in the play-off final.

You're having a laugh aren't you?!

Started off with an awful lot of the boo boys selecting him as their new target but managed to win most of them over through his efforts, general contribution to the team and, believe it or not, goals.

Clearly you were one of the few hardliners who refused to see any good in him!

Scrappy Rougier was pretty bad to be concidered a striker. IIRC he only got the 1!

Clearly you can only remember the vital one he scored for us away at Tranmere. Was the home game v Oxford too wet for your liking?

In case anyone is wavering about voting for Brayson, please remember that Ian Richardson scored more goals for us (2) in five games whilst playing for Notts County than Brayson did in 48 games whilst playing for Reading.

Skyline In case anyone is wavering about voting for Brayson, please remember that Ian Richardson scored more goals for us (2) in five games whilst playing for Notts County than Brayson did in 48 games whilst playing for Reading.

Please remember that the Swindon Town reserve goalkeeper scored more goals for Carlisle Uinted than Brayson did for us.

Whoever voted for the Goat is harsh - he was clearly a better goalscorer than any other striker in that squad. And Scott may not have been the most skilled, but he at least put in the effort.

It has to be Brayson all the way.

Paul Brayson comes under deluded. He thought he was a striker.

Does anyone else remember just sitting watching and waiting for him to miss as he would burst clear of a defence and go one on one with a keeper? I seem to remember after a while noone expected him to score no matter what position he got into. We all jsut knew what was happening so didn't waste the energy getting excited.

Had the unenviable job of trying to take over from that man Trevor (god) Senior when he left the first time.
He was what the word 'Donkey' was originally invented for

Colin Gordon was so awful that once when he fouled the opposition player, all the Reading fans chanted OFF! OFF! OFF! to the referee

But at the time the whole team was shite bar a couple. What a forgetable line up; Conroy, Vaughan, Gordon, whitlock just to mention a few. Poor old stuart Beavon had to run his ass of to cover for that lot. Can any one else remember and name some of those Branfoot cheapies?

Has to be said there are some sound nominations:

P Brayson - just rank poor. And a midget. And fat.

C Gordon - flouncey mophead of a wuss but redeemed himself at Chelsea in the League Cup.

U Hartenburger - "international" signing, much expected but a prototype Donkey in the Henderson mould. Redeemed himself at Swansea.

B Savage - has a huge man ever had such an inappropriate name? Pussy.

S Moran - "star" quality but never shone.

FYI, I would class McIntyre and Earles as wingers - or inside forwards...
