Anyone remember the game against Sunderland (97?) at EP, when we won 4-0? I remember the southbank singing 4-nill to the blue and white, when one of the macham fans ran on to the pitch, grabbed the loose ball and kicked it into the Reading goal. Without missing a beat, the Southbank sang 4-1 to the blue and white... I think the fan managed to dodge the tangos too.
Good bunch of fans, and a good night in the Spread I seem to recall.

I remember talking to Gareth Davies in The Prince in Crowthorne a couple of weeks after that and him saying that they nearly lynched Colgan in the Dressing room after that game.

After the game I went into the Spreadeagle to play a few games of pool against the Mackems, they said the Sunderland fans stoned the team coach after that game and were after the manager's head.

It would have to be an inept performance from Caskey against Swindon at Elm Park, when suddenly the tannoy announcer accidentally switched the mike on to shout furiously 'For Gods Sake Caskey get off you've done nothing!' -priceless. Amusing moments aside i would say Nogans winner v Bolton, Quinns last min v Plymouth and the 6-0 v West Ham

Sorry it's taken me a while to check the game, but I've re-discovered my favourite bit of commentary from a live game on Sky.

At the end of the Derby game on New Years Eve 2005 the commentator said :

"The last time Reading lost England were 1-0 down in the Ashes"
