SKY SPORTS LIVE PREMIER LEAGUE GAMES

AUGUST
Sunday 12: 1pm
Sunday 12: 3.30pm
Sunday 19: 1pm
Sunday 19: 3.30pm
Sunday 26: 1pm
Sunday 26: 3.30pm

SEPTEMBER
Sunday 2: 1pm
Sunday 2: 3.30pm

OCTOBER
Sunday 7: 1pm
Sunday 7: 3.30pm

NOVEMBER
Sunday 4: 1pm
Sunday 4: 3.30pm

All on Sky Sports 1 (or HD1 if your like me!)
So they're not showing live games on the date of our game away to Man Utd or our Chelsea home game then.

[Polite mode - on]I don't think any of these dates and times match games as they are currently scheduled - they would need to be switched ready for TV. [Polite mode - off]
Just to be clear here, I meant that despite people thinking we might get a 5.15 kick off on the Saturday due to televised schedules, according the above list, there are no games being televised at 5.15pm. HTH. Thanks.

As T.R.O.L.I. says, this is just SKY. Setanta have the Saturday game at 5:whenever, and we might be that one. Although it won't be if Sky wanted ManUre above all else as they get first pick.

And I have no doubt that we could be expected to play on the Sunday AND on the Tuesday, although you'd hope that the Tuesday would be moved. It has happened before though.

With all of this said, an actual announcement isn't necessarily imminent; this may be so, but it also could be that some eager-beaver intern at Sky Sports HQ was assigned to bang out boilerplate copy for the web page that will sit there until it gets updated with actual news --which, according to what was posted at the Club site on Tuesday, still could be as many as eleven days out.

Or maybe we'll learn something by the close of business today. Who the hell knows.

In the long run I refer you to a conversation I had many times with my mother whilst a nipper:

ME: "What are we having for dinner?"
Mum: "It's your favourite"
ME: "What's my favourite?"
Mum: "Wait and see!!!!"

Seems as though there is obviously bog all happening in the transfer market so lets speculate on something that really is pointless speculating on!

In the long run you are discussing what is going to be on a 32" box in the corner of your living room for 2 hours on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday (ok it hugely affects which games lots of people can go to, but that spoils my rant so I am going to gloss over it and pretend it's not there!)

Try and control yourselves. Relax! It will happen. Soon enough the season will start.

In the mean time - here are some things to try:

Book a holiday
How about attending a light opera?
Visit your grandparents.
Read the last 2 chapters of the last Harry Potter book and go round telling everybody what happens!
Time yourself to see how quickly you can say the alphabet backwards.
Eat a truffle!
Measure average daily rainfall in the garden.

Lastly:
Create a HOBNOBOX! It's like a swear box - but everytime you think of Reading FC or Hobnob you have to stick a quid in. That money can then be spent on the new prices that are bound to come into effect for a beer! Everyone wins!

Not quite. There are an awful lot of people who want to book travel and other appointments around matches.

Last season it took just a week after the fixtures came out to finalise the first 4 months' fixtures. This season, with Setanta involved, its 4 weeks and we're still waiting!

As usual, TV companies don't give a toss about the people who spend time and money providing the atmosphere at the matches they make so much money from.

It's not about wanting to watch Reading on TV. Most of us will be at the games. But we DO want to know when those games will be. As yet we only have a very vague idea of most of them.

And with your final comment, you are right. You are definitely NOT loyal enough. HTH.

I'm sure the clubs will want to know themselves with the opening weekend of fixtures fast approaching. I'm sure they'll want to confirm travel and accommodation.

The club would delay confirming this information why exactly?

Maybe the FA would punish them for officially releasing this info?

If it is... What he says it is...

Considering the webpage from sky sports has now been made restricted I would say its very plausable.
