The first time I flew into Belfast, I was expecting to see bomb sites and burning cars. It's a vibrant city and you can't tell it apart from any mainland city, apart from the murals dotted around the place - which are actually quite artistic, and you can get tours around the place to see them. The people are extremely friendly - just don't take any sides on Norn Iron politics. The Guiness is better than it is in England!

Having said that, I took a week's holiday back home for the week of the 12th!!

hmmm drinking guiness would suggest you are taking sides!

No, it appears that people from both sides drink it (to excess).

Born in Reading, now living up north. It's better IMO to live up north and be a Reading because it's relatively easy to get tickets for the away games up north and when you do go to the Mad Stad, beacause you don't go very often it's a amazing seeing 20,000+ going to a game supporting Reading as supposed to a couple of thousand you normally have around you (or a couple of hundred not so long ago).

Its annoying when you wake up in your northern slum on a saturday and race south, only to have forgetten we've got fans now so you have to sneak a ticket in the away end... "Sack the boss..."

I was born at Elm Park when my mother strayed onto the pitch at half-time during a league cup match against Hull attended by only 2384 people.

Both myself and the kids were born outside of Reading (and I don't mean Wokingham!) and now live @ 40 miles away.

Now Reading are a big club, we must have a good claim to be some of the original Royals' version of Cockney Mancs!

Whilst I have lived in Reading, my kids haven't, so they will be fully deserving of future scorn for not supporting their local team, as The Royals go onto bigger and better things!

Born in Aldershit, grew up in Chester and then Bracknell, and have been living in Salford for 11 years; I don't know what that makes me, other than Reading 'til I die.

I don't particularly want to be local anyway, seeing as it's a dull shithole.
