Forbury Lion
Behindu It takes HNA months to activate log ons (if they ever do it) yet I've not heard anyone call for HNA to be closed down (and nor should it be !!).
That's because they've not been able to log on and call for it to be closed!

A fair point, well made in your usual concise manner....

Thinking about this I suspect it is my fault that it did not appear on here as I usually do the posting but someone else volunteered to publicise the AGM this time so I relaxed - but now I realise they do not post on here often if at all so...

So apologies to our non-members for not informing them

Attended my first STAR event this evening and I was glad I did.
Wally and KD were very entertaining.
Thanks to all involved.

As for the point made about revenue from travel and a subsidised game - my suggestion would be Wigan away. A fixture for the die-hards.

However this would be in conflict with aim 5 of STAR - share ownership of RFC (which may be a mute point anyway and could probably be a decent subject for a discusion in this forum as it is now only likely if RFC slumped down the leagues or became a plc).

Personally I think STAR should accumulate funds for a rainy day.

The notes will be up on the STAR website in a day or so - when they are I'm sure someone will place a link here.

There usually is in Reading Matter so whenever the next issue is due should have the AGM and Forum notes.

Additionally STAR usually post minutes to their website so keep checking there and as soon as they have the time I'm sure the'll post them.

Only one Trevor Morley so when are these notes appearing?

Sorry have no idea as I did not take them this time. However having done so several times before it is a mammoth task to do and very dependent on spare time so all I can ask for is patience and/or a volunteer for next time with a promise of next day delivery

They'll be up in the next couple of days - you have no idea how fast Wally and Kevin talk, and whilst all 12 pages of notes have now been typed up, 50% of them have to be translated from Geordie into English.

So give us a day or so for peer review and they'll be up on the STAR website - and a link to them will be placed here.

Excellent - looking forward to reading them.

Interesting that Star Notes of the forums are subject to peer review!

We wouldn't be doing Wally and Kevin any favours if we reported verbatim everything that they said in the meeting.

One of the main benefits to the people that turn up is that our guests are usually relaxed and can be totally honest about players, other people in football and referees.

As I'm sure you'll understand, some things said in a room in front of a members-only audience would take on a different complexion if they were written down and posted on the internet.....

The only way to hear everything said is to turn up!

Very good - thankyou !

Must try and get to another one of these, always seem a nice mix of genuine insight and humour. The guests actually seem to enjoy being there.

Excellent job, well done STAR for some great notes, it can't have been easy to keep up even with shorthand (perhaps a dictaphone next time?).

Highlights.....

New right winger if Blakey not looking good
Halford - character issue
Wally wants to fight Colin for Comic Relief

Excellent - thanks STAR

I like the fact that we're interested in Gary O'Neil!

Also like the fact that the players look forward to Fridays when Coppell forensicly analyses the team that they're playing.
