Royal Rother
Alan Partridge A full back that doesn't want to be here, no right sided players, the worst midfield in the division and strikers that don't strike.

You miserable tosser.

You don't deserve to support a club as well run as this one.

RR I don't generally think your posts are as bad as others make out, but that one is well wide of the mark.

I hate to agree with AP on the midfield, but I don't think you can find a worse one in the division.

Do you think Derby have a better midfield? I dont think so. Whilst disappointed by our lack of player investment the team are allowed a couple of poor performances. The criticism is going too far. Lets see where we stand after the Derby game next month.

He doesn't.

He's really a Torquay supporter in disguise.

I say he should run of to the Blue Square League and pronto.

I will support them steadfastly all season and next [no matter which League we are in].

However, the exodus and the moaning was an ominous sign. Won't be long till the booing starts..... Then the South Stand will be all away fans.

I think relegation is possible [as is escape].

What hurts me is that we are paying over the odds and the rationale was that we needed to be able to compete. We are failing to compete either on transfer fees or wages and will have to change. SC said on Sky that the 'alarm bells are clanging in my mind' - so he knows there is a huge problem. I shall trust in SC and hope he will stay even if we do go down.

I also hope Mr M can spare some time from counting his money to look at the League Table...

5 games into our 2nd season in the Premiership in our history and the miserable tosser has done nothing but find fault with the players (except for Seol of course), the management, the investment being made - everything.

I don't consider my post wide of the mark at all.

Anyway, what do you mean by "RR I don't generally think your posts are as bad as others make out"?

The only people who think they are "bad" are the blinkered idiots like Floyd Streete, Alan Partridge, Daniella and Space Cruiser!!

Don't be tempted to join that little band of brothers for God's sake!!

Doubt it would help - it's a lot cheaper in the Championship.

As he has admitted that the time will come when we have to spend really serious money to stay up (the time appears to be nigh) and that he doesn't want to be around when that time comes, maybe it's time for him to be sending out the prospectus!

Oh come come

I actually quite like your posts. Particularly this evening, they are giving me a right laugh as you are clearly losing the plot  . How did it sound listening on the radio? Leroy's fault I suppose?

SpaceCruiser Yes, you are right, there are relegation clauses nowadays. But what is a typical relegation clause? Is it 25% reduction? Let's say a player is on £35,000 a week. The 25% reduction would be about £8,750 off, leaving the player still on £26,250 a week which is still a lot of money to be paying out at Championship level. The other thing is that including a relegation clause in a contract sometimes scares the players off as it gives them the impression that the club isn't confident of staying up and not as ambitious as other clubs in the same division. :?

I very much doubt the latter is the case as, with the possible exception of the really big clubs, I suspect all clubs include such clauses in their contracts nowadays.

Which particular plot have I lost?

I am not lost in a mire of doom and gloom.

Strangely you don't seem to be either...

Yet?

AF1 Coppell out now whilst we still have a small chance of staying up.

Unbelievable. Really.

I can't believe that anyone could write that with any seriousness, who had any history of supporting Reading.

Alan Partridge We won't miss sidwell at all will we  We wouldn't have lost either game 3-0 if he'd played.

A full back that doesn't want to be here, no right sided players, the worst midfield in the division and strikers that don't strike.

Apart from that, alls good.

That is a horrendous result today.

AP - that's way over the top. Yes, a bad result, horrendous is an over reaction. I believe that we will be a relegation fight this season, I thought that before the season started. The best players are still from the 2005 / 6 team. Play them in the same combinations where possible. SC will sort it out, today was a bad day, especially losing shape completely in the second half. Things will get better.
