Archie's penalty RoyalBlue Archie's penalty Huntley & Palmer Do we really have the luxury of talent that allows us to play people there that can operate though? Our good form last season was based on two specialist wingers, not someone that played a handful of games there for the equivalent of a lower league level.
True but it seems that Coppell is chancing his hand on Little coming back soon enough (otherwise someone needs to be signed in January).
I'm slightly worried by the gambling habit that Sir Steve appears to have developed recently, particularly when soon after placing the bet (relying on his current squad and undertaking precious little incoming transfer activity in the window) he expresses the view that he might have made a mistake!
If this other gamble on Little fails to come up trumps (and at present there don't appear to be many positive indicators) it's an awful long time with a lot of points at stake until January.
Yes it is all rather worrying. As I have said Oster or Doyle are going to have to do their best for the time being over there. Or we could bring Convey in on the left and play Hunt on the right?
Rosenior must be the guy Coppell wants on the right. It makes no sense that we signed him as cover for Murty. I'm sure he will eventually be our right back, but for now Coppell must see him as a winger. What worries me is Rosenior seems very much a right footed Hunt, Hunt is obviously Coppell's favourite player, so we're gonna be playing with two wingers who don't have a great final ball. Personally I'd play Convey, but cannot see Coppell dropping Hunt.
As for Little coming back, we can only pray, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Which leaves us with a real lack of creativity down the right, except for Oster, who even when Coppell obviously had real problems with Seol, still couldn't get picked.
