i'm as optimistic as they come, but this match is done if SC doesn't make some changes NOW. even then...doesn't look good.

Stokes in the box, missed two chances. One not enough power, second a save by the goateed Hanhemann.

hang on, our under 21's highly rated striker comes off for Shane Long meanwhile Gunnarsson, Hunty and Rosenior are floundering like a WW1 foot soldier in Flanders.

What on earth is going on.

Damage limitation. 2-0 is better than 3-0 after all.

Just a thought, I wonder how confused Fae is sat on the bench. Our record signing and he's second choice and not subbed even when our midfield is in such trouble.

They're right, genius and madness is a fine line.

Amidst this mediocrity from the Royals I take comfort in the fact that, highlighted by HNA?, we didn't sign Kenwyne Jones or Michael Chopra, SunderLOLand spent too much money, and Dave Kitson is better than Dean Ashton.

I picked these problems pre-season. We have a Championship squad that performed to an incredible level last season. Now we are in trouble.

If we are still getting beaten like this when the line up is

Hahnemann
Rosenior--Ingimarsson--Sonko(or Bikey)--Shorey
Oster--Fae--Harper--Convey
Doyle--Lita

all at full fitness, then I'll start to panic. Untill that happens I will expect us to get beat, as I did when I saw the line up today. Gunnarsson, as good as he was last season coming on for the last 20 mins of games, is nowhere near good enough to start as our first choice centre midfielder.

Also big LOL at those who laughed at Lawrensons prediction of Sunderland to win 2-0.
