papereyes So we didn't spend vast tracts of that game looking like we could lose it?

Must have been me.

An ugly win is soo much nicer than a "brave defeat" or even worse, a complete hammering.

Doesn't matter though does it? This could get us back on track. Any sort of win is all that was needed at this point to lift the confidence.

runrunrunrungilksey Still shocking in the 2nd half!!!

It's points that count.

This will improve confidence.

Now we need Fulham to lose.

I think it's fair to say that is the proverbial 6 pointer. If you restrict the league to Bolton, Wigan, Reading, Birmingham, Derby, Fulham and Sunderland, then its an easier picture.

Although worryingly we are 1-0-2 (just!) against those teams.

Bollocks to everyone else! We just need to keep winning games and let everyone worry about us.

No, I agree entirely.

But let's try to keep our feet on the ground with how the result was 'ground out'.

Please?

I really don't think the second half was that 'shocking'.

Kitson played very well, scored one and made one. Bobby should start - although, Liam doesn't deserve to be dropped.

James did well - he seemed to play more forward today (which had an obvious dividend at the end of the game).

I sincerely doubt that is going to be the case this season.

I listened to the Wigwam commentary on line. The coms thought that a draw would have been a good result, although they were hacked off to loose. Based on what I heard, we played very well.

It's a good result, but no, overall, we didn't.

We should have finished the game in the 1st half.. We were all over them! Bents goal was soft and esp after half time....becoming too frequent this season! Kitson played well and deserves his start against Pompy. Convey showed what we have been missing on the width, however Rosiner had a ok game but should of scored! Hunt had no width today. 2nd half we looked disorganised at the back! Gunarsson, all I can say is shocking!

according to merson on sky we were the better team and created chances but wigan had chances to get a draw which we gave them

however, merson usually talks rubbish

Difficult to pick out a MOTM but for me a shake up between Marcus who made some good stops,Kits who was lively,Grabbed a goal and good at defensive set pieces and Barbie Carnveee who really livened things up.
If pushed I`d go for Kits.
