Steve,

You know I heard a saying the other day, it involved teams who tend to struggle in their second season in the top flight. For the life of me I cant remember what it was called now. Can you help?

Also, hows the Mrs?

Do you think it's wrong for people to send texts in with my name even though they know i'm deaf and can't listen to the radio?

i believe that you are the best manager in the premier league, and when steve mclarens makes his inevitable departure, and you were offered the england managers post, would you take it?

Sir Steve, when are we going to see Rosenior at his natural position (right back)? How about a midfield of Hunt and Harper with Convey at LW and Henry at RW? Finally, do you plan to bring in additional players to strengthen the squad at the next transfer window?

Steve,

You always look so smart in the dugout, but why do you wear that faded old cap in training! Maybe you could start a charity to get people to donate money to you to buy a new cap?

Yours sincerely

Do you feel taking time away from Reading FC to film "The Lives of Others" has affected our performances this year?

Steve,

I'm your biggest fan, you are a great manager. The question i have for you is, Do you or any of the Reading squad ever look at what the fans say about you on discussion boards like HNA?

If you do, please ignore my posts on the current threads:

Coppell OUT!
Blame Coppell
Coppell doesn't want us to win
Coppell - SSS is FACT!
Why doesn't Coppell listen?

Love your work Steve!
Yours Sincerely

*Name not given, just incase Coppell is readin this*

Dear Mr Coppell

Thankyou for agreeing to join Timothy on his radio show in what must be a very difficult period for you.

We all appreciate you taking an hour or so of your valuable time to answer our questions and help lift us all for what is going to be an important game on Sunday (not that they all aren't important of course).

With this in mind please find below a list of queries from myself all of which avoid the words "second", "season" and "syndrome" and any allusions that could be derived from the use of these words together in the same sentence.

1. How surprised or upset have you been by the players performances since 11th August?
2. Do you feel that perhaps the performance of the management team has also been not up to the standards set in recent years?
3. If you had a TARDIS and could go back to July 2007 what decision - if any - would you change?
4. Do you feel you've learnt more about the squad in recent weeks than you had in the previous couple of years?
5. If you could change 3 things about the game in general what would they be?
6. Just what can you actually learn from the Portsmouth game given the totally freak nature of the scoreline and of the nature of some of goals.

Yours sincerley
Barry the Bird Boggler

PS - If we survive this time around do you think we'll be able to avoid the Terror of the Third Term

Dear Steve

Ignore any questions from Barry The Bird Boggler as he doesn't even realise that we are, in fact, playing our game against Derby on SUNDAY.

Yours a pedantic old woman.
