If that's true, pity about their pen as we could be chasing for a draw now.

Shame about the three in the first half - we'd have won the game.

Confidence is non-existant.
For me that is the reason we are struggling and the obvious lack of wingers and central midfield partner for Harper.

Players who are quite capable of passing to a team mate, like Shorey, Harper, Gunnarsson, Hunt and Kitson are just playing really bad passes and no one is really out there and trying.

Theres no expectation of performing well.

I think we can turn a corner if we can just get a couple of decent results and performances. Sadly I'm not sure where they'll come from at the moment.

Royal Lady It's just so infuriating - no doubt we'll blame the international games and the travelling.

What's so infuriating? The fact that we've lost a game of football to a better team? :?
No, that we keep letting in goals for a start.

Yes because we won the second half. Ok Blackburn had their foot off the gas but even so.

Well at least Doyles goal drought seems to have been firmly laid to rest.Still way too leaky at the back mind. Ah well still 12th and there a few teams looking worse than us in the premiership bowels.
Bring on the Newcastle I say.

-3, because we will lose next week after coppell decides that no changes are needed because we had a decent second half against a team that had virtually given up..................

At least the other results have gone for us. Bolton, Birmingham, Middlesborough and Wigan all lose and Fulham and derby draw! We are still 12th - amazingly!

There are obvious positive signs coming out of today's game. Doyle scores 2, Lita looks sharp and stays on his feet again so has obviously learnt his lessons again, so we are going to keep on scoring as the season progresses.

Defence (and the defensive midfield) is the problem and Sonko has just got through 90 minutes so things should improve there too.

Outclassed we may have been but look past that and there are more reasons for optimism than Fulham, Derby, Wigan, Bolton and Birmingham have got this afternoon.

Sorry RR but bollocks. We scored 4 at pompey but let in seven, we scored 2 today but let in 4, however many we scored the opposition goes a few better, there are no positives from that. Our team isn't good enough, its really that simple. We had the chance to spend money and bring in better players, we didn't and we'll be lucky if we won't be playing championship football next season.
No quality player in their right mind will join us in january for a relegation scrap. We've had our chance and blown it in that respect.

You can't take any positives out of the game today

Outclassed by Blackburn and to concede another 4?? no excuses for that at all.

We may score goals but only because we are usually so far adrift in the game.

Defence looks worrying weak this season, the midfield isn't balanced, and we have no partnerships firing up front.

Wish January was close but unfortunately its not.

If any realistic Reading fans are here they will know we should of lost to Wigan and were fortunate against Derby. Then as soon as we go away we get stuffed everytime.

Hope it changes soon but with the likes of rosenior and hunt trying to supply the strikers we aren't creating much, and with the defence looking exceedingly shaky all the time we can't even keep teams out

Still 12th :?

We'll need to perform against the other also-rans. Everyone below us (except Spurs) should be in the mix come the sharp end of the season.

A good home record should see us suffering again next season.
