Coaches completely remodel the way a fast bowler runs and bowls, likewise sprinters have their running action worked on and changed for maximum effect.
Football clubs employ specialist sprint coaches and will work on any aspect of a player if it can be improved.
If you put a player on a big weights programme they will bulk up and change the way the run/ move, or if you slim them down they will change.
How many Reading players or in fact any footballer's running styles, way they jump for the ball. I mean really basic human movements have ever changed??!
