PEARCEY My local team CheltenhamTown outplayed Reading and were unlucky to only draw 1-1 thanks to Trevor Morley's equaliser which went under Steve Book's (Cheltenham keeper) body.
It was a poor game and Reading were pretty dire. The weather was crap and I could hardly see the game at a packed and very small Whaddon Road.

Thats my local team as well, and as a Cheltenham resident I was there in the Reading end, chanting sheep-shaggers to the folk of Cheltenham. Then after the match walked home listening to the said folk calling Reading fans a bunch of pricks for thinking Cheltenham is near Wales, agreeing with them but pointed out 'they' were being ironic. "Ironic, where's that to mate?" was the reply. How I laughed (to myself). So much irony for one night.

That was a good game - I was sitting in the main stand next to Gareth Davies's mum! God was I glad I was under cover that night!

Memories Of India I'll toss in a mention for Slough Town away in 1991 - we conceded two goals in injury time in a 3-3 draw. Travelling support approx. 200, one of whom memorably appeared on MOTD, on the field of play celebrating a Reading goal wearing his clapped out leather jacket and Zodiac Mindwarp t-shirt

I think there were a fair few more than 200 from Reading that day, MOI :? . My first ever away game - I was 12 years old - and my dad moved us from behind the throng of Reading fans fighting amongst each other behind the goal for reasons which to this day escape me (the reasons for the fight escape me that is, not being moved).
