BR2 Have just been speaking to a well-connected Pompey fan who said that Taylor and 'arry had a bust up weeks ago and that Taylor would be available in the transfer window.
I also heard from elsewhere (Dodd me if necessary)that we are looking at Colchester's left-back as a replacement for Shorey.
I would like to see Taylor as a left-sided midfielder rather than as a full-back and feel that his all-round game is better than Hunt's and probably better than Bobby's.

The 17 Bus was taking it from soccerbase, he was intergral to their good start, I did not pay much attention to the comps tbh. as for the latest game I could have been hoodwinked

Only started 3 times in the PL this season, including their only 2 defeats.

2 defeats against Chelsea and Arsenal

Err yes. Just stating that he's hardly been integral to their good start by only starting 3 of 12 games including the two they would expect to have lost.

Sorry didn't get the point you were trying to make

Not sure about that. I think Convey should be given a chance on the left wing as I think he will prove good enough. He has never been fully fit since we have been in the Premiership but when he is he will be good enough.
I would see Taylor as a replacement for Shorey but it is an IF because Shorey may well stay.

Taylor is a quality player and i'd have him here. would give an extra bit of 'je ne sais crois' to the left and can score goals from all over the park. Buy him SSC

Just to bump this up, talking to Pompey fans down here the latest buzz going round this weekend seems like Taylor to us is a done deal for January.

I would be very pleased if that is true.

***look at me, look at me*** I know for a fact (i have seen with my own eyes a text message from him) that there have 'been discussions' between the clubs and player and that we're one of a few clubs after him, but in his word "we'll see what happens' - granted this was what he said 2 weeks ago. We'd obviously suit him as we're close to his home (Aylesbury).

Please ignore my post from a few months back when I said that he wouldn't come to us because we're Oxford's rivals - this opinion has obviously been changed by the fact that the likes of Villa, Spurs etc are no longer after him and he 'dislikes' Redknapp even more than before!

I'm latching on to this because Slinky sits in my row so if it's true, he's my cool mate.

If, however, it's a load of shite, then I'll gladly admit that I can't remember his real name.

Ah I see. "mzungu's insight" are two words you will struggle to ever see next to each other again.

I also can confirm all of this having seen the text!
