I read an article a while back with several academy coaches from various English clubs predicting that the Bulgarian and Hungarian market was where a lot of clubs would be looking to for recruitment.

Good to see such a positive response from people

We've just signed a 17 year old prospect who has been training with the club for a while and scored in the only games he's played for us. This is a good thing people!

Yes he's one for the future not now, but the transfer window is currently shut so we can't actually make any big moves for another 3 weeks!

He will be in the side that finish 5th in the Prem in 2012/13, along with Henry, Pearce and Karacan. Just hope it's Reading.

Exactly what I was thinking, it can only be good news as far as I'm concerned. Some of the negative comments on this thread should be saved for when he is banging in goals in the premier league.

He's still right. If the kid gets in fights and doesn't behave like a professional he'll get slated and rightly.

He looks like he could be an exciting prospect and has already started having an impact for the reserves. He's not going to have cost us much so if he doesn't come good its not a huge loss, but potentially he's a massive gain.

It won't be Bournemouth who by then will probably be in The Conference with part-time players along with Brentford.

Yorkshire Royal I just hope he doesn't dare go out for a beer... or refuse to sign an autograph.. or develop any confidence... or act slightly arrogant.. or celebrate a goal aggressively, cause if he does, he doesn't stand a chance with the muppets who support our club.

Back to the thread for a moment, I reckon its great that the club are spreading the net far and wide and are trying to get the best talent they can.

Mind you as he is Bulgarian he will require a work permit even thought they are in the EEA now, unlike virtually every other european country. I wonder if this will be an issue? Hope not.

Bulgaria is in the EU.

Although, as for the Romanians, but unlike for the other new (ex-Communist) Member States, the UK government has indeed a quota of Bulgarians that can settle in the UK.

And he needs to meet the work permit criteria as thats the rule for all Bulgarians and Romanians, there is no actual quota for numbers from these countries but the criteria will limit who can get a permit. Now if he was a Pole or a Czech etc he would only need to register.
