I thought No 13 were excellent today. Outsung the Wet Sham fans by a mile. Well played.

Royalupnorth Chelsea have scored with their 10 men. 4-3 now.
So it CAN be done. C'mon URZ

3mins added time and good save by USA

We scored with 10 men too you know.

Yes we did and thats Nicky Shorey's sixth assist this season so, I for one will be gutted if he leaves in January. He has improved as the season has gone on. I reckon he will stay.
Another classy performance by Kitson. Doyle also played well...Cisse did ok and I reckon he might now stake his claim.
A great point and we are looking much much better.

Some players are not good from the bench, but in this case I think Cisse will grow in confidence. Lets face it, last time he started , he got sent off!!

The team started so well, that they quietened down the home crowd quite quickly.

Very near...far away Carvalho sent off for Chelsea v Villa - 2 footed tackle.

The 2nd of many many boxing day reds then.

I'd watch the tackle.

Apparently, its 'special'.

Agreed.

The noise in the last 10 minutes was great.

we are already in the middle of a discussion about todays game, Fae and Cisse, Gunnarson, all you did was to ask two questions about what others thought, without adding your views. Asking questions is an interview, how about we have an idea what you think

There have been LOADS of red cards today. Have all the players come back a little bit tired after too much christmas pud? or have the refs had a secret meeting and we are now experiencing the 'card rush' that tends to happen early in the season before the refs calm down and common sense prevails?

Commentator on 5Live has just said there have been 24 sendings off today, and wondered something similar.

Edit: Now 25...

A few weeks ago when the team performances were at their low point I remember mentioning on HNA that we could do with a return of 'Spirit, Tenacity and Flair'. It was great to see all three back in shed-loads today!

Agreed - we were excellent today. Shame about the sending off as Doyle and Kitson were playing great before it happened. Anyway on to Spurs, we have a decent league position, good form and the pressure is off for a while. Let's go on a great run and get the points needed to prevent a relagation fight!

Busy day for Kits. Streaks at the Boxing Day Test, and then a MotM performance at Upton Park.

Kitson isn't that well built.

Superb today. We were dominating the game before Gunnarsson's red-mist moment and I think we'd have won the game today comfortably had it been 11 vs 11. Some very brave performances in the last 15-20 when West Ham, to be fair, were throwing the kitchen sink at us (as you'd expect from a big budget side playing ten men at home); Murty led by example and Sonko was back to his very best today, both won some towering headers to clear danger. Rode our luck at the end but anything less than a point today would have been unjust. Great work and well played Reading, our most complete away performance this season.
