Coppelled Streets
The Goat was fed
Coppelled Streets This is the sort of big signing we were always going to see with this warchest of ours.

I can't contain myself.

Hunt - not good enough for Brentford.
Doyle - Cork City on a par with Maltese sides I'd venture.
Long - See above only not as well rated as Doyle.

I personally prefer these sort of rumours with Coppell's track record.

A PREMIERSHIP side wouldn't make those signings, a Championship would, and did and it paid off.
You can't do as much of that at this level and get away with it.

So so true. The top division is a completely different scenario. As proved by Leeds in 1992 when they took a gamble on some dodgy french trialist who couldn't even get a game for Wednesday. Eric somebody. I forget the surname.

Daniella Difference is he wasn't good enough for the SPL. 1 goal in 29 games is laughable, absolutely shocking. He was so bad hibs got rid and they are oxf*rd.

Daniella Reading FC and Ambition

As someone else put it, this type of singing wouldn't raise an eyebrow at rushden and diamonds. So poor it can't be true.

Thick racist.

I have this feeling that this lad, however good he is or isn't, doesn't have an international career and a pretty impressive career in a top European league which ended with a rather unpleasant incident involving a referee, a ball and his premature retirement from the game. An incident that was one of several in his career.

Which is how Cantona ended up in England with a reputation for being a bit mental. He was 'dodgy' because of his mentality not his ability which was never, ever in doubt.

I mean that comment is so far removed from the situation here, its really quite LOL-able.

This lad? No idea. Never seen him play. Really doesn't inspire confidence but ...

I'd really rather have HUlse or Beattie, if we're talking strikers. If we're talking attacking players, someone with a bit of a track record would be nicer.

Since we have been in the Prem, which of Coppell's signings rates as his finest?

Bikey?

:?

We are not in a division where you can get away with constantly giving unpolished diamonds 90 minutes for half a season to bed them in.

Signing someone with a bit of a track record, preferably in the division we are currently residing would be nice

I wouldn't, Hulse has been out until today for months, and Beattie's crocked.

Looks like he has alot of potential to me. Anyone who thinks otherwise obviously hasn't seen the goal about a minute in

I think you should read my post again. I merely stated that the goal displays a great deal of potential, regardless of the level he is playing at. The close control, pace and strength are there for all to see.

At no point did I suggest we should sign him up. Sorry to taint your 'hillarious' observation

He looks like a skillful player to be fair. A lot of pace, great control as well.

I'm a bit concerned about how he would perform against Premiership opposition as he wouldnt have anywhere near as much space or freedom, but he certainly looks comfortable running at defenders, and working his way about in some tight spaces.

One of the goals he scored was against Benfica as well - not that I am implying that means because he scored against them he will run riot in the premiership, but they are one of the better sides in portugal, so I take some comfort in that.

Could be an interesting signing if he does come, but I'm not sure he will be an immediate solution to anything.

screams Bas Savage to me. Doesn't look that in control of the ball most of the time, against anyone who could tackle he'd have got nowehere in most of those clips. Also saw very very little final product.

Even on a highlights clip he gave the ball away endlessly.

No thanks.

Ilco Naumoski sounds like he's "99 certain" to sign as striker... unless Coppell is thinking of ditching Kitson/ Doyle as well as Lita or decided on playing 4-3-3 after drinking too many christmas brandies.
