Another one not likely to happen then.

90% of our transfers are not mentioned on URoG. FACT.

What's with the scoffing at the mooted value?

If Marlon King does move in January then it will be for at least £5M.

In his only Prem season, he was injured for much of the time and only played 12 games. He still managed to score 4 goals though and this in a team that only scored 29 goals all season.

Agreed. He's a good player and would already be playing for a better club if he wasn't so keen on a bargain when shopping for cars.

With players like Earnshaw and Ellington(both showing so little form previously) being sold last summer for something like £3million each then King is probably worth about £5million.
If Lita goes for similar money King would be a decent replacement.

1. That is way over his valuation, if he is worth 5 million then to quote Ian Hislop "i'm a banana"

2. Our record signing is 2.5m and we wont spend 5m on a 29 year old who has no track record at this level.

In any dicussion over King's alleged transfer, you'd have to ask, where is he going to fit in?

He presumably would be behind Kitson and Doyle in any pecking order for the two front places, so why spend £5-million on a sub. Might as well just keep Lita.

The only possible scenario is that Coppell may be considering playing Doyle in the hole, or possibly wide right, to accommodate King up front.

But Kitson and King would be too similar as a pairing wouldn't they?

27 or 29 at 5 million the only premiership club buying him will be Sunderland.

Can we add Fae who had never played in this country?
Also strikers normally cost more than for other positions
