Reckon this one would be way down the transfer list for coppell.

We are already being linked with so many other strikers atm that would find it hard to see us shelling out half our "warchest" for a striker when we already have an decent crop of them. If anything Coppell will cash in on Lita and get a cheaper replacement.

Hopefully Coppell is looking to strengthen midfield & defence :?

Correct, unless Lita or Doyle go, which I personally think is about as likely as Reading qualifying for the CL this season, we will not be buying any established strikers in this window.

Priority for Sir Steve is a central defender and a right winger and, other than youngsters for the future, there's no way we'll sign more than two new players (if that).

FuLOLham.

Not proven at this level but a decent Championship striker. Never worth what they paid.

Disagree - I think he's exactly what Fulham need. Anyway, the whole 'unproven' argument is a bit vacuous. Ronaldo was unproven before he joined ManUtd - would you have said they made a mistake to sign him?

He was injured last season, was scoring goals before and after the injury. At 27 he is definitely worth a punt, Fulham have got a good un.

United's bank balance suggests they can afford to pay such fee's and gamble, we can't.

Haven't you been pushing for us to do just that over the last few weeks albeit on a slightly smaller scale?

I want to see us match the ambition we talk of, but never suggested anything about gambling that sort of money on a fat arsed striker that has never overly impressed at Championship level, let alone Premiership.

AP, watch the Healy/King partnership goooooooooooooo.

Yep, completely fluked being Championship top scorer in 2005/6 and his contribution in no way helped Watford get promotion.
