Geekins Kitson is HUMAN, he made a mistake, we all make mistakes!

Yes he might of been drink driving, but atleast he got stopped and didn't cause any serious injury etc etc.

And that really makes it alright?!!!

And he made more than one mistake. First it would appear he probably had too much to drink before driving (his sponsored car with Reading FC on the side of it), then he refused to cooperate with the police by undertaking a breath test. IIRC (from what I've seen) you also get warned before they arrest you for that, so it would appear he refused/failed to cooperate more than once.

I'm sure he will get a massive warning, but i think he is intelligent enough to admit he was wrong and learn from his mistakes.

oh and... DAVE KITSON, what a bargain what a bargain!!

And if you need a driver to get you to te training ground etc. I'll do it if you pay me!
The sentence highlighted is the biggest load of w@nk I have ever heard! IF he was over the limit, he only has himself to blame and it was bloody lucky that no-one was killed or injured as a result of his selfish consequences.

And I tell you what, IF he is found guilty and he was over the limit, Convey should take him along to the hospital next time he does his visiting of patients and he should take him to a ward or ICU dept where people who have been seriously injured as a result of drink driving either by themselves or others lie - THAT might make him grow up a bit and act as a bigger deterrent than a slap on the wrists and a fine that won't dent his wallet.

Can i just add, if a normal working individual was caught over the limit in a company car, albeit sponsored in this case, would they not face instant dismissal?

philM His court date is the day before the Man U game. What are the odds he'll miss training and be dropped for the game? (Do they train Fridays?)

I believe Robin turned up for training once in a while.

Well at least we won't get any more stories about not owning a car. When he gets his licence back (assuming he is found guilty, of course) he is going to have to buy himself a car instead of driving around in a very nice/flash sponsored Audi.

He's no longer an ideal role model for a car retailer!

Not necessarily and then only if found guilty of the offence.

Apparently it's ok as Dave was only drinking ginger beer.

Am I right in thinking Kitson goes along sometimes to help with Convey or did I just imagine that?

Normally, only if the car is essential to the job. For sales staff it would be written into the contract of employment. For someone with a "perk" car not so necessarily.

Absolutely.

Fancy mouthing off about not having a flash car when he actually drives round in a very expensive sponsored Audi with his bloody name on it.

Unless the Guardian story was totally made up then he is beginning to look just a little pompous.

Not to mention being a total hypocrite.

Possibly becaue it was 'Unfounded' at the time, and possibly got a bit out of hand, and could've been libelous.

You've got to say he's a silly, silly boy - to put it mildly.

Having spent the last 2 months or so sounding off to all the papers about how he's different to the typical Premier League footballer and now this! The fall from grace because of this will now be much, much, greater than it might have if he'd kept his mouth shut in the first place.

Dave, if you're going to set yourself up publicly as being something a bit special you have to walk the walk - not just talk the talk!

I don't think the TVP would have liked the fact that plod seemed to be telling all and sundry about who they nicked with details!
