RoyalBlue
Gordons Cumming HNA should have a government health warning.

EVERY time there is a defeat this happens. This doom and gloom. It even happened when we won the Championship FFS!!!!

It's pathetic.

It's realistic.

All those RTGs telling us during the summer that we would be fine without signing more players.

The same RTGs telling us that we wouldn't be in the relegation zone at the turn of the year and they're right. It's looking like 3-4 weeks later than that!

The RTG's, JM, NH, NH, SC, KD, WD need to wake up quick and smell that double strength espresso coffee!

Uke
The whole year inn What was that Pompey performance? Rubbish. Given the run around by Kieron Richardson

Last time they were up that way they played Newcastle off the park. Was expecting something similar today to be honest.

Except last time half their team wasn't at the ACN!

HEY GUESS WHAT? OUR POSITION IN THE TABLE IS 13th!!

PANIC AGAIN!

And the gap to the bottom three with us to face Man U and Chelsea in our next two games? Two pathetic points!

Half Man Half Biscuit
Arch 1. If we hadn't dicked away the lead three times against Spurs and had hung on for a draw, we'd still be ahead of them now. Not much to write home about, but good for a laugh at Tottenham's expense.

2. Those of you who travelled today can console yourselves with the thought that you didn;t see your team beaten 3-1.... by Salisbury!

This is dispair, http://www.oufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10342~39343,00.html

The desperation is in picking that as a comparison! The relevance? You might as well pick on the bottom club in the whole league pyramid structure and say 'at least we're better off than them'!
If you can't see that your post does not belong on this thread, then you are a really sad man.

floyd__streete Sunderland 2-0 Portsmouth H/T

Oh sorry, wrong thread.

Portsmouth are a poor side without their African players, HTH.

Such a shame we couldn't have had the ManU and Portsmouth fixtures reversed

I hope it's just writer's block, but I'm having trouble with this one. Got one - the Reserves will gain a stunning win against Spurs.

None of whom have made a worthwhile impact on the first team!

At the same time we also let our one fit specialist right winger leave. Fact remains - we said we needed to sign more players, we didn't and we are now paying the price.

As for Arch saying my posts don't belong on this thread - IMO this thread doesn't belong on this forum, it should be moved to Unfounded Rumours and Gossip!

well, i was replying to a post saying we needed to sign people in t'summer
we signed three players
but it was a gamble that has so far not worked out yet
we did try though
hopefully their failure will alert the club that gambles isnt what we need right now

anyway

after beating spurs, man u and chelsea over the next two weeks, this will all seem like a bad dream............... 8)

Manure (H) - 0 pts
Chelsea (A) - 0
Bolton (H) - 3 pts (please?!)
Everton (A) - 0
Aston Villa (H) - 0 (might sneak 1?)
Middlesbrough (A) - 1 (fingers crossed)
Manchester C (H) - 1 (assuming their away form holds!)
Liverpool (A) - 0 (surely Rafa will be gone bythen?!)
Birminghan (H) - 3 (a must win game by that time of the season)
Blackburn (H) - 0 (gunning for UEFA Cup spot, but we may nick a point)
Newcastle (A) - 0 (surely a new broom would have arrived by then?)
Fulham (H) - 3 (a must win game by that time of teh season also)
Arsenal (A) - 0
Wigan (A) - 1 (I'd say a win might be possible, but they will be scraping too)
Spurs (H) - 0 (worst case scenario, although you never know!)
Derby (A) - 0 (I was going to say this will be our first away win of the season, but Derby will be down by then, no pressure, and they will do a Watford to us)

So reasons to be cheerful? 34 points. Our second highest ever Premiership points total!

Reasons to be even more cheerful? I am utterly shite at predicting RFC results and consequently we will be safe as houses!!!! :D

Think you're confusing Reading with Chelsea.

Sky Sports News understands Reading have made an offer of £8million for Wigan's Titus Bramble. More to follow.

I liked this thread when it started. But didn't it used to be called "Reasons To Be Cheerful?"

It did but presumably that title had to be abandoned when it became patently clear there weren't any - being better than Oxford being ruled out as completely irrelevant in 2008!
