Refwatch...SPURS(H) FA Cup 3rd rnd replay

by higher » 12 Jan 2008 19:13

Ref: MIKE A RILEY (West Yorkshire)
Asst 1: M Matadar (red+ yellow)
Asst 2: R Burton (Red)
4th official: P Dowd

We have been blessed with FIFA ref Michael Riley for the first time this year.Last year we had him a few times:
26-08-2006 Wigan 1 - 0 Reading http://www.royals.org/matdoc/260806.html
14-10-2006 Reading 0 - 1 Chelsea http://www.royals.org/matdoc/141006.html
14-01-2007 Everton 1 - 1 Reading http://www.royals.org/matdoc/140107.html
30-04-2007 Reading 1 - 0 Newcastle http://www.royals.org/matdoc/300407.html

Fussy,a bit cardy not the greatest communicator with players and at times incompetant otherwise a great appointment! With a bit of luck he might randomly select Berbatov for an early bath.Come on you second string a trip to the new Wembley beckons in theory!!

Riley sending Obi Mikel orf in that Hunty/Petr Cech game.

Oh mother Riley! I suppose we had to get him sooner or later.

Rather have him for the cup than the league. Worst ref in the league i reckon.

I think they try where poss but certainly would have prefered young Clattenburg over Mr Fussypants any day.

Phew, we've got him for a totally pointless game, lets hope it counts and consequently we avoid him in the games that will matter.

Not withstanding Reading's own shortcomings, I knew that our fate was sealed on Saturday when I found out the Uriha(sp?) Rennie was the ref, and I again predict that tonights game will be turned into a farce by Old Mother Riley.

I can feel a "worse than Graham Poll" chant coming on already...

Both MOTD and Sky took the p*ss out of him big time for not being able to tell the difference between a giant yellow fluffy lion and a proper player so no doubt he will have it in for us tonight!

I think the lion is playing centre back instead of Pearce tonight.

Lived up to expectations, fussy, pedantic, and card happy.

I thought he also booked Cisse and Shorey, but I guess he must of got his cards out and put them back.

Card happy?

He only booked three players didn't he? All correct decisions as well, although he should've booked Keane long before he actually did.

So he should have sent him off then?

If he continued in the same vein after being booked then yes.
