Or it could be in this case that the reports don't know what they are talking about.

His club website has him as a midfielder. I think that's the best to go by.

West Stand Flash Why do we keep signing average players who can fill a number of different positions.

You need specialist players in set positions.

of course these two may not be average, not every player at average teams in average leagues is average.
admittedly they do not seem to be up there with the shevchenkos, and verons of this world, but that isnt really our way anyway, is it.

also, if a player is very good in one position, which is his main position, but can also when needed fill in more than ably in another i cant see its a problem

Brilliant isn't it, a Mali international whose so important to them he's not in their ANC squad and a Maltese international which is probably just as good as a signing from Yeovil.

Just for the record they won't even be new nationalities to play for the Royals

Can't wait to see them compete with Fae in our reserve side.

And so concludeth our activity for another 6 months.

Yep and if we only wanted specialist players we should get rid of Hunty - he's played left back, left mid, right mid and centre mid and striker for us already. Too versative - sell him to Sunderland!

To be fair Coppell has said he prefers specialist over versatile players.

We're lucky that some of our players are so versatile though, it's big a big part of our success over the last few seasons.

Reckon they should just put tracks down on the pitch and weld the players onto runners (not to bad an idea in Gunnars case, add a bit of oil and it may pay off) so the players can't move from their designated position.

Alternatively maybe inserting a large iron bar across the back four, midfield and strikers and letting the fans move the players (NO SPINNING though).

That one's in the middle of a sentence (which isn't punctuated), but the end of a word.

royaldownunder Bye bye Lita.

Why would signing a midfielder signal the end of Lita's RFC career?

Plenty of lessons learnt from the Fae transfer then . This guy has been playing at a significantly lower level that Fae did during his time in France

Coppell needs to actually speak to Wenger. Just because a player is African and plays in the French Leagues it deosn't mean he is any good. You have to scout out the good ones

brendywendy perhaps cisse is being lined up as centre back, he is tall, quick, athletic, and defensively good.

with sonks and bikey hopefully getting some fitness and confidence at the ACN, ivar his usual self and doobs to ably fill in, plus pearce and bennett
that would leave us ok defensively in my eyes,

central midfield of harps, matejovsky, udo??!!, gunnarson, fae with bikey and cisse able to play the defensive role too, id be quite happy with that too

just the right wing that need sorting now, or is cox and henry in support of oster and little ok?

I think Cisse looks a lot more comfortable at centre half, he also gives us the pace and power we miss without a Sonko or Bikey in there.

His passing is pretty sub standard for a Premiership midfielder, in fact it's awful. Playing him at centre half hides that weakness while his pace and power will be a massive asset for him back there.
