Alan Partridge Kitson pleaded guilty? Ho hum.

He doesn't really have a defence againts a charge of refusing to provide samples...

Well of course not, but some people just couldn't bear their hero being a drink driver.

Kitson as a player is fantastic, I enjoy reading his honest interviews but sometimes he really comes across as a real tit. His attitude quite possibly had a say in all of this.

Kitson does appear to pride himself on being more intelligent than the average footballer.

Back in the real world that still only puts him just above "moron".

I regret it. I'm looking forward to putting this behind me and focussing on football.

On hobnob? No chance until he is strung up on Hampstead Norrey's gibbet.

The Surgeon of Crowthorne
West Stand Flash He did pick up a injury last week. Coppell wouldn't drop him cause of that (court). He is our best player.
Funny though how the problem has only just been mentioned after the court case.

I'm sure it was mentioned on Monday when he didn't train and Coppel had to confirm it was because he'd got a knock on Saturday.

Wouldn't it be great if, now that the court case is done, this story was dispatched to the "old news" section?

Kitson is far too pompous to reside in my former village of Shinfield but his style of pomposity would be well received in Woodcote. Perhaps a new house with a bigger cellar would offer a wine wine scenario?

Woodcote is a fecking hole. However, we don't want any of those chavvy footballer types in Goring.

Couldn't come up with a reason, excuse or technicality to cover the charge then!

The club were keen to disassociate itself from illegal use of drugs just a day or so ago, so hopefully now the guilt of one of their highest profile employees/representatives has been established they will also be quick to condemn illegal drink driving, particularly amongst their employees/ambassadors.

18 month driving ban and £1000 fine - i am sure he can afford a chauffeur / taxis, so this shouldn't be an issue now!

What surprises me is only £60 costs!

I'm sure the cost of bringing a case to court as a consequence of his stupidity must have been considerably greater than £60 and even as a Reading player it's not as though he couldn't afford to pay a bit more!

Wonder whether they'll put his sponsored club car up on ebay?!

EP website says.....

STAR STRIKER BANNED
Reading striker Dave Kitson was banned from driving for 18 months this morning and fined £1,700 after pleading guilty to a drink driving charge.

Kitson, 27, was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday, January 9, near his Shinfield home and charged with refusing to provide a breath sample to police.

The Royals player spoke outside Reading Magistrates Court saying: "I regret it. I'm looking forward to putting this behind me and focussing on football."

Jut the two pints then, the stupid thing is that he then decides speeding is a good idea!!

The fine is too low, all fines should be based on earnings IMHO, my friend lost a week and a halfs wages when he got done, though doubt that would be popular with the rich.
