ESPN are going to bid for the rights in 2009. Possibly broadcasting over ITV/BBC/C4's new satelite.

So until the 25th February, us and Tottenham are the only teams to not have a game televised in the Prem, but Tottenham are at Old Trafford in the Cup tomorrow week. So we are the only team not involved on telly all February!

Which suits me... 8)

Going by the "no later than 6 weeks before the games" rule, expect the March fixtures to be announced in the next few days...

Does that mean that the Boro away game on Saturday 1 March won't change?

As far as I can see, Sky have declared their TV fixtures up to and including the Carling Cup final on the 24th Feb amd Setanta have done theirs up until Monday 25th Feb.

As this Saturday is 6 weeks before the Boro game, I would expect both channels to declare their fixtures pretty soon...

Thinking ahead.....wouldn't be at all surprised if the away game against Newcastle on Sat 5th April is moved to Sunday 4pm kick off, in the usual considerate and thoughtful way Sky usually behave! Not a problem for most I'm sure, but for those planning on spending the weekend t'up north at the toon, this would not be ideal! Can't wait for the trip to Keegan Circus!

Saturday 5th of April is FA Cup Semi Final weekend and, IIRC, going by last season, one of the games was on Saturday at 5:15pm and the other on Sunday afternoon.

That weekend also sees Arsenal v Liverpool so I'd venture that, if our game was to be moved, it would end up being moved to the Monday night for Setanta...

When it gets to the last few games of the season, is the 6 weeks advance notice reduced due to TV wanting to make sure they have the cruical games of that weekend?

Obviously i know the last round of fixtures are all at the same time on the Sunday.

Yes it is - the last few weeks' worth of fixtures are scheduled at a lot less that the 6 weeks that Sky & Satan-ta give for the previous season's matches.

Last few weeks - fair enough. But the start of March should be sorted by now surely...
