SPECULATION - Jerome Thmoas

by shaka's shorts » 18 Jan 2008 14:33

BBC web site says he is stalling over a contract with Charlton and Middlesborough & Derby could pounce.

If he is a right winger (think he is right not left), he may fit the bill - young, played in Prem, wages not too bad, something to prove. Coppell mates with Parjudas & Sodje going the other way maybe?

What do you think?

He is mainly a left winger, although I think he might be right footed.

That is the case.

I'd rather have Charlton's other winger, Darren Ambrose

Wouldn't be a bad shout, especially if Hunt leaves, always thought he had bags on potential and is on a free, I reckon he would consider dropping down to us if he can't find a Premiership club

Had a handful of trials this summer at a couple of Premiership clubs and a Championship club and no one has taken him.

He's always looked the business when he's been fully fit - was a great player for Charlton, started to show it before his freak injury at Pompey.

I was lucky enough to see two of his pre-season games for Hull and I still can't for the life of me work out why they didn't take him - got a goal and two assists in one game and looked every ounce the Premiership player

Maybe you forgot your glasses?

Charlton were relegated weren't they? Didn't Pompey go from relegation candidates to safety once he got injured?

Are you trying to tell me that he was the sole reason for both team's relegation form? If that's your view then you sir need to study the game of football a little more, you see it's a team game

Not the sole reason obviously, but crap wingers = less chances = less goals, something we were too slow to do something about when we had Oster as we went down. It's hilarious that even that doesn't seem to have sunken in to some.

I agree, Oster was not good enough and a decent replacement should have been brought in. But the main reason teams lose games is because they concede goals, not because they dont score. Therefore IMO, wingers are fairly low down the list of players whose fault it is
