Ideal All of the competition are signing like mad, good signings that make me jealous - but we get Jimmy Kebab. Wow. I'm thoroughly unimpressed.
Fulham just spent £3.5M on Brede Hangeland, so that's their defence sorted. What about our defence? Guess it doesn't matter as long as we can have Kebab.

And 5million on Marlon King you might add.

Who Watford had previously categorically stated they didn't want and didn't have to sell. I think we've heard something similar!

Incidentally you poor barsteward Surrounded By Saints; unless someone acts to turn around our ship pretty soon you could spend next season being reminded how Saints are a much bigger club than us - and how our much talked about but not acted upon ambition once we reached the PL proves that!

never got this taylor rumour
surely another left sided player is the last thing we need, unless we sell hunt or shorey
& why are people upset that we havent signed some player that another prem team dont think is up to it?

Brentford didn't think Sonko or Hunt were 'up to it'.

The team that doesn't think he's good enough are way ahead of us in the League and have a lot of players in their side we'd love to have in ours. That means that players they have in their side are still likely to be better than ours.

Would you not want the likes Sidwell, Nugent, Rosenior, Jason Roberts, Sorenson, Carson, Baines, McFadden, Zamora etc etc just because they don't get into other teams in the league?

The fringe players of other teams are excactly the type of player we should be looking at, especially those that have shown they can hack it in this league in the past.

Taylor being left sided means he wouldnt have been top of out list, but adding a player of his quality would've still been useful, even if it just meant Hunt was the solution to our right wing problem for the rest of the season.

i wouldnt have said he was better than hunt?
convey now, yes i suppose

and i would certainly examine the reasons they cant get into their current teams etc
it should certainly have a bearing on whether i spent 5 million on them.
and i would worry about some of those mentioned above, i dont think some of them are up to it full stop

Kevin Dillon has just confirmed on BBC Berks that the signing of Jimmy Kebe is "imminent" but they have to sort out a few things with the club he is on loan at.

Brentford very definitely thought Hunt was 'up to it' - they just couldn't afford his wages.

a typically laughable babelfish translation from US Boulogne's website, but it looks like they are fairly adamant that he won't leave.

English makes the soft eyes with Jimmy Kebé but the USBCO does not see it this?il. All this week, the Kebé polemic, Reading, Lens and the USBCO, made speak about it. At the beginning of week, Jimmy made share of the interest that the club of Reading (First League English) carried to him. The leaders of the USBCO thus took note, received Jimmy and its agent of it in order to mean their decision to them. Considering that the maintenance (sporting project of the club) is not reached yet, it is inconceivable that Jimmy leaves the manpower of the USBCO prematurely. The club understands that this gratifying offer can disturb the player, but remains firm and final as for action to be taken for this approach. To show his dissatisfaction, MR. Kebé then chose to put himself in margin of the group and thus refused to accompany his fellow-members for displacement in Montpellier. We hope for all that all will return in the order as of this Monday.

I can only guess the French League has an entirely different loan system as that couldn't happen here.
