Alan Partridge
The Goat was fed Bizarre. Lita barely touched the ball when he came on - how does that constitute "all right"?

Shorey did no worse than anyone else today, suffering only from not having a constant left-winger in front of him. If he leaves, he will be sorely missed.

He played a part in our goal, he looked alright when he came on. Won a couple of corners, did ok in the 10minutes he was on the pitch. Replacing Kitson who was abysmal today hopefully just a one off.

Shorey going forward would be missed, his left foot whipping them crosses in would be missed. His lack of pace and total inability to defend would not.

Agreed Lita looked decent today

Lita claims he did want to play in the cup in a unique style...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 186117.stm

"The gaffer said I didn't want to play but that wasn't accurate.

"I said to him if I'm going to move on I'd like to not be cup-tied, it wasn't that I didn't want to play."

After all the times the club stood by him, didn't moan when he constantly got himself in bother with Bristol's finest, gave him a shot at the big time and he can't keep his mouth shut.

He has got talent, but he also appears to be a horrible individual. Who knows, maybe he will turn out to be the next Ian Wright at his next club and we will miss out on future millions. But in my opinion he's no better than someone like Nathan Ellington, Rob Hulse or Marlon King - good player in the Championship, average at best in the Prem.

He obviously wants to go, and I'll be glad when he does. Don't want t*ssers like that associated with the club.

Makes sense to me.

I think Lita does have a point regarding how SC stated it to the press.

I think it just shows how strained the relationship is between them. It is very unlike Coppell to criticise one of his squad in the media.

Seems like Lita's history to me. I just hope we don't sell him to a relegation rival and that we replace him with somebody at least as good.

A good reason why we should be going after players like Mcfadden imo.

The Daily Mail has a bit more on the Lita interview.

“I spoke to the manager two months ago and he said if my agent wants to sort me out something better, he is not going to stand in my way,â€

Reading left-back Nicky Shorey is set to sign a new contract that will make him the highest-paid player at the club. (Various)
