I'm afraid that I'm going to have to put SKDD on the foes list.

Personally I think that Coppell is in the process of rebuilding and wherever we are next season - the team this time next year will be different in both style and personel.

This isn't blind faith but more a case of looking at Coppell's track record which lets face it is only distorted by the events of this season.

That being said I do think that the corporate attitude and PR approach of the club is deeply flawed and shows little regard for the Fans who have spent the money. Please let's not hold Coppell responsible for that!

Sickboy Quite why Coppell constantly fails to listen to the experts on this board I will never know. Why can't he see that 26 years of management experience means absolutely nothing.....there's people on this board that have been watching football for years and they didn't get where they are today by talking rubbish now did they? Since Coppell joined Reading this club has sadly only gone in one direction and I for one have had enough. Oh how I long for our glory days of the 80's/90's.......where did it all go wrong?

Absolutely spot on.

Once again, can I say 'Does any half decent premiership player who would actually improve our squad actually want to come to Reading and are they available if that is remotely the case'?????????

If they don't want to come to Reading then Coppell can't force then, so does he then go and buy inferior players at inflated prices from championship clubs just to fill the gaps?

I can see how well that would go down on here with the majority of moany posters.

I can understand not signing say any strikers because there's nobody out there to improve the squad, but right winger? Come on, we don't have one! So surely ANY decent Championship RW will be an improvement? You can't tell me that we couldn't attract a Championship player.

Hasn't that £5-£6 million pound rated Hunt bloke been playing half decent and can do a job on the right?

Names of Championship players that may be possibles please!

Being a glass half-full sort of chap - and taking into consideration how easily we won the Championship and our subsequent 8th place Prem finish last season - I always tend to give thanks for the season we got to watch a Premier League team at Championship prices

Having said that, this season has obviously been a real struggle and I kind of resent paying top whack to see the likes of Gunnarsson labour away in midfield. But seeing Boro selling Woodgate to Spurs for £7m helps me to understand why we can't attract players of similar, or even remote ballpark, calibre. Given how disappointing a purchase Fae appears to have become, I can understand SC's caution. Even an RTG such as myself can't help wondering why on earth we are so short of decent right-sided midfielders, though. Worrying times!

You could just say RFC made false promises to excuse their ticket price hikes?

Having reluctantly payed a tenner a number of times to see Basingstoke Town this season, I certainly can't help. There's a certain charm to watching football at that level, but you shouldn't even be paying double-figure prices to do so.

Is Coppell TRYING to kill all the good momentum the club has and send us back down?!

Coppell has backtracked on signings, I don't know why. But things aren't as bad as certain people are making out. At the start of the year we had 3 problem positions:

Centre Mid - Matejovsky looks good, admittedly we've not seen much yet. But he could be one of most significant signings of teams at the wrong end of the Prem table.

Central Defence - we really only have a short-term problem here, at least in terms of numbers. Duberry did ok earlier in the season, and if Sonko get's his form back we'll have some decent competition at the back with hopefully Cisse and Bikey also pushing hard for a place.

Right Midfield - I am at a loss as to explain why we haven't signed a quality right winger. I can only imagine that there are moves behind the scenes to sort this one out, surely the club are not comfortable with the current situation? It would be great if we could get Walcott in on loan, but I would be shocked if it happened. More realistic is a last-minute signing of some-one like Routledge.

As far as season ticket prices are concerned, I would have thought player salaries are more significant than signing fees. We are having to pay more to keep players like Doyle, Hunt and Shorey. I don't have a problem with that.

Personally, I'll buy the away shirt no matter which league the squad plays. Then again, I live in America, and the price to attend a match, including airfare and lodging, is close to 1000bps.

I'm a Royal fan. That doesn't change with the opponent, be it ManU or SuttonU.
