Well we won't have to wait long. Presumably he is match-fit, so he should play against Bolton.

Big Ern
Stranded Intriguing signing at this point.

Sounds more like a desperate signing if you ask me.

Well the club reckon he has been on their radar for quite a while, which would imply that he isn't a desperate signing.

Just because he hasn't had a distinguished career in France doesn't mean he isn't any good. One position where Coppell doesn't normally make errors with signings is wingers (Convey, Hunt, Little) so I am prepared to wait and see him play a few games before I judge him.

I for one will rest judgement until I actually see him play.

RFC have watched him play and report that he is a 1) A winger (right and left) 2) Has pace and 3) Been very influential in the games he was in (OK agree this is French Div 2)

We have not broken the bank to get him, he will not 'upset' the balance of the squad (higher wages etc) so will ,at this stage not have a negative impact.

He will be eager to do well.

Welcome to the club Jimmy, I hope that you get all or part of the game on Saturday and keep some of these doubters quiet!!!!

(they were probably the same ones who were saying that Cisse was a waste of money, before the Man U game)

That would of course be the sensible option.

Don't be surprised when some don't follow that lead.

The picture on the OS has Jimmy Boubou holding his number 30 shirt.

But he's wearing a number 14 hoodie left behind by John Halls.

Still you have to be optimistic, he can't be that bad.

I'll go along with that but let us hope he doesn't go on strike again when we need him to play.

I have just seen that he is 6ft tall which is tall for a winger.
If he is half as good as the other lofty winger that he has been bought to replace I'll be well pleased.

Good signing hopefully!
Nice to get a bit more strengh and depth in midfield...now just to sort out defence and goalkeeping positions.

Goalkeeping? Why do we need to sort that out?

It would, however, simply serve as a counterbalance to the Matejovsky oxf*rd.

We haven't played with 10 men for a few games so the fitness levels will be down a bit also.

How could anyone complain? Even a right footed right wing pub player would have improved the team, and Kebe did not play for us in the Championship. It's a win-win situation.

...and coppell has never managed Lens or Boulogne.

Sounds too good to be true - perhaps he's just pandering to the (HNA) masses

Bloody typical reading, 3 days to go and they panic buy a player they've only seen play on flick cards at a pier

He is simply the worst player I have never seen play. I've never seen him score a goal, tackle back or even put in a decent cross. And as for corners - I've never seen him clear the first defender let alone seen him set up a goal or head one in.

He'll never have success here so long as he plays as often as I've seen him play.

If any kids out there are learning how to slag a player off, then they should be watching this.
