Urbanfoot is a new French extreme sport based on Parkour but involving a ball. Onceing is like nutmegging, but performed on a high parapet, so called because you only do it once.

Re: So where does this leave James Henry?

windjammer Now that Kebe has signed presumably Henry will go out on loan again and then in a season's time (or less) be let go just like Simon Cox is about to (allegedly). Another great success for Royals Academy. When will we see one of them becoming a REGULAR member of the first team squad as opposed to the occasional token seat on the bench and if they're really lucky 5 minutes in a cup game? Don't you think that both Henry and Cox would be capable of playing well in the French 2nd division as well? Maybe if they had we would have noticed them more and payed over the odds for them. Don't get me wrong, now that he has signed I hope Kebe does well and is in the 1st team sooner rather than later, but what incentive does it give to our young trainees?

largetrousers Any online vids of this fella? Seems a very unknown entity...

There is a whole page of Boulogne match highlights - http://www.usbco.asso.fr/site.USBCO/PagesWeb/video.html

Game 2 v Ajaccio (He scores the first equaliser)

Game 6 v Sedan (He scores the first goal)

Game 16 v Dijon (He sets up the first goal and scores the second)

Game 18 v Grenoble (He scores both Boulogne goals)

Thanks for this - very interesting.

1. Left wing run - cuts in and scores with right foot from edge of box.
2. Starts move from left wing and continues run into box and finishes with left foot from close range.
3. Assist - short left footed pass from left wing. Goal - strong run from left midfield - right-footed dink over the keeper.
4. Goal 1 - Puts away loose ball from a corner with right foot from left of goal. Goal 2 - Roofs a left-foot first-time finish from a knock-down right wing corner. Position is from right side of goal.

Looks very tidy with both feet and looks fast and strong. Boulogne looked to be playing him as a left winger.

Good summary. I saw the clips.

Interesting tha he plays on the left in these though...?

Do we have yet another left winger who *can* play on the right a la Convey/Hunt? I doubt it because he's a natural right footer and he is described as a bilateral winger, as opposed to being just a left winger who we decide randomly to try on the right wing.

With left footers and therefore good left wingers being rare, I wouldn't be surprised if he was ConveyandHunted onto the left wing for Bolougnegneggene when in fact he's probably just as comfy if not more so on the right?

Hope so.

I really look forward to seeing this lad play.

Anyoe know anything about Lens current first choice wingers? Could be a good indicator as to how good he is. If they're supposed to be top then that would explain holding onto a youngish player who's only played a handful of games over several years.

It might not have been that he wasn't good enough, but that they had what they perceived as better. See our Henry, nothing for us, but been plaing on loan down the divisions. If you catch my drift.

Slightly disturbing that Coppell has admitted in the press that he has never seen him play live.

LOL@ all the reading fans chanting " england, england, england" to arsenal earlier in the season

Another foreign cheap import, just like wenger's approach.

Not sure about this guy, will of course wait until he's played a few games before judging. With coppell's track record though, I expect we'll see Ivar playing on the right wing before this guy gets a chance.

According to Sporting Life:

"Reading's latest arrival, Mali winger Jimmy Kebe, is unlikely to feature as he has arrived from Lens with a hamstring injury. "

Slight strain according to the EP means he won't feature at Chelsea but could well be involved against Bolton.

Well to all those who said we didn't need another left winger or a centre forward this must be a bit of a disappointment. Kebe himself says his best position is on the left or upfront.

"Said Royals’ boss: “I haven’t seen him live to be honest"
"Kebe has played the majority of games this season in the French second division"
“That’s the gamble,” insisted Coppell. “I must admit when I knew about the situation I asked exactly the same question"
“Realistically he’s not the finished article. He’s going to need to work hard and he’s going to need to adjust to the English style of football"
"Kebe will not be available to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League tomorrow night (7.45pm kick-off) as he has a hamstring strain"

No comment necessary.

Best of luck JK - reckon you will need it .... unless you are Mali's Kevin Doyle of course!

Unbelievable--the guy can't speak a word of English. I don't know what is more comical--the signing of Kebe or Denis Wise going to Newcastle. Just the sort of player we need in a relegation fight--carrying a slight injury and not the finished article -great! Still don't worry Fae and Sonko will be back soon fresh from warming the benches in sunny Africa. Hope I really am proved wrong but this signing does not initially impress me at all!!

My God.

Despite not having a single right winger in the squad, we've signed someone who Coppell's makes comments like this about.

Why not Kightly?

Why not Routledge on loan till the end of the season? Atleast he'd actually be ready.

Will of course reserve judgement till we see. That's if we see him, Coppell's comments don't make it sound like he'll be straight in the side.

Lets see shall we, I'm sure he said similar things about Matejovsky but put him straight into the squad as soon as he was eligible.

Yeah you do have to take Coppell's comments with a certain pinch of salt. He should be more positive though. It might well be true, but fans do not want to hear him saying he's gonna take time to settle in. Espicially when he said he wouldn't sign players from abroad for this very reason. It must drive Hammond mad!!

Do think Mareky arrived with a better pedigree though.

Coppell & Tony Mowbray - Two of the most boring negative stnuc you are ever likely to hear talk about football.

This signing did not fill me with one bit of joy & I know for certain that was the case for 99.9% of other Reading fans.

BORED!!!!

Don't you think we could use the same match report from the last 2 games with Coventry? We go 1 nil up without playing particularly well, Coventry come out 2nd half a team transformed, 2-1 the final result.
