so far this season i have been bored. Midtable mediocrity does not suit this club and now the games actually mean something. I for one am excited, anyone share this view?

Excitement > Mid table
Nah, I don't like it at all...
Constant nervousness, inevitable depression during and after a game, rage, bickering, negative w*nkers giving it the 'I told you so' constantly...
I much prefer it when there's a lot of mutual back-slapping going on, and I like mid table - we don't expect to win every game, but there's a chance we can win every game.
The occasional awesome season would be great amongst many average ones, but mostly ones where we can slowly ponder our progress and not have to panic about any twists any threat to our survival would be most welcome. At least for now.
In conclusion, no. It's not fun. It makes me sad.
Positive excitement > mid table consolidation > negative excitement

i wouldnt mind a must win game to say up against derby and murty to score it in the last minute

Would prefer last game of the season to finish in the top four - now that would be exciting.

i agree its way more exciting this way, and who cares if we are near the bottom and people are saying 'i told you so', we are Reading and this is second season syndrome, we are expected to be where we are.
At least now the games mean something and i find myself looking at other results, which play a factor in our survival, something that doesnt happen mid table.
this is exciting and yes i agree pushing for 4th place would be aswell, but lets wake up people

I agree with the original poster. This is what sport is all about. Every game is (cliche, I know) a cup final. I am looking forward to the last third of the season. I am sure the player's don't want Championship football next season, so back the boys and make some noise. HURRAH !!!

What, to another Championship club? If you listen to the folks round here, none of them are good enough for the Premiership anyway.
