RoyalBlue Coppell's lost his magic hat!

We're losing players either physically through injury and/or in mind. Morale is clearly dropping and he doesn't seem able to do anything to change the situation.

He doesn't like unhappy players in the camp unsettling the others yet he clearly has some but can't really let them go because he started the season with a squad that was way too small/thin.

Coppell's not helping the cause at all at the moment. His body language on Saturday and his repetitive comments about, 'We are competing in a limited market' is becoming tiresome to say the least.
Wheras Megson was urging his troops on from the sideline, Coppell just stood their with that pensive, 'I don't know what to do' look.

Why are we competing in a 'limited market' for players?? Is that down to wage constraints, Hammonds inability to attract players to the club, poor scouting network, Madjeski's transfer restraint on fees?

What is clear is that some of this season's signings have been woeful. Not a good season for Coppell who has a history of buckling under pressure and may well have been out of a job at other clubs based on recent results.

cmonurz I don't think there are many LOLs to be had about Reading's league season, whether we stay up or not.

Slightly pathetic that the 'RTGs', for the sake of badging them, quite deliberately choose to dress up the opinion of the 'STGs' as any more than passion for this club.

Again, you might be right old chap I wouldn't know - but LOLing at past demonstrations of RTGness on the worst day of our PL stay is a very odd way to show one's passion.

Having been called a 'tosser' and a 'blinkered idiot' from your good self, it just makes quite funny reading looking back. The problems that arised in August are the same that Reading have now. How can a 'blinkered idiot' like me see that?

Alan Partridge A full back that doesn't want to be here, no right sided players, the worst midfield in the division and strikers that don't strike.

You miserable tosser.

You don't deserve to support a club as well run as this one.

So I did!! And you bloody well deserved it you miserable tosser!!

It's not a case of RTGs or non-RTGs. Anyone who's been involved in sport can appreciate that the writing's been on the wall from September onwards. You don't lose to West Ham 3-0 at home, Bolton 3-0 away, Portsmouth 7-4 without there being something inherently wrong. Other results have just papered over the cracks. I'm very concerned that we looked at Cahill, for example, and then decided that what we'd got was better. Sonko had better start performing - starting this Saturday.

What is wrong with Championship players anyway?

Our team is full of them.

If we stay up (and I accept that that is looking a bit dodgy at the moment) there is going to be a lot of digging up old posts, with around 200 threads to choose from, but about half a dozen posters.

Quite. Given the amount of stick and abuse that we Cassandras have taken from the RTGs since last summer, it would be completely unnatural for there not to be at least a tiny bit of 'told you so' creeping in.

However, I'm sure that 99.99% of the Cassandra clan would much rather that it was the RTGs doing the 'told you so' both now and come the end of the season.

this is pretty gay
it seems there is more interest in slagging,i told you so's, and oneupmanship than any actual discussion

why cant we all just get along.....

its funny though, as one who is undoubtedly considered to be in the RTGB, i would say that most of the abuse comes from the STGB and not vice versa
but i am intelligent enough to see that this is probably a question of perspective, and that neither is actually correct

I would like a list of all the 'I told you so's' on this thread. That they exist in any significant number at all is a fallacy.

brendywendy this is pretty gay

"pretty gay"..."pretty" and "gay"...?...what has sexual orientation got to do with the prospect of Reading getting relegated? (Or is it one of these under 13 year old phrases heard in school playgrounds and from pretentious Radio 1 "DJs" who want to seem hip and trendy in their speech even at the age of 35?)
brendywendy but i am intelligent enough

Clearly not - see above and next comment
brendywendy to see that this is probably a question of perspective, and that neither is actually correct

One of the two views will quite clearly be correct at the end of the season.

I said myself about four posts above that there are about six heavy-duty OTT activists, including yourself, AP, Floyd, Royal Blue and WSF.

the constant exchanging of insults etc on this forum is both pretty and gay, in a flowery happy way.
being relegated, that would just be shit

though i am approaching 35, and am slightly upset that it was so clearly evident that my use of the phrase "pretty gay" was simply in order to appear hip and trendy-

your opinion on my intelligence isnt required,
but your evidence for it seems seems to be some half arsed comments on an internet discussion board, namely the use of the phrase "pretty gay"
which certainly wouldnt be enough to prove it one way or another

and secondly , you believe that me saying "but i am intelligent enough to see that this is probably a question of perspective, and that neither is actually correct " is wrong, thus demonstrating my stupidity.

i on the other hand think that this just demonstrates a certain stupidity of your own-as you seem to have totally missed the point and got a little confused.
since i was talking about the opinions held on both sides that:
"the majority of abuse comes from RTGB / STGB", you saying"One of the two views will quite clearly be correct at the end of the season" makes little sense

i was saying its probably likely that neither are correct, as to a neutral it would appear about equal, and that those who think they are on the wrong end of an unequal abuse quota are probably just suffering from a lack or perspective.

anyway back to the abuse fest......
