"Gotcha"!

by sucatraps » 12 Feb 2008 12:49

So what will the last headline of the season be for us this year, have your shout (it should reflect the newspaper that would use it) for example:- The Sun says "A wafer thin win saves Biscuitmen" over to you my highly respected and humorous budding journos! :)

The press' attention will be on Derby whatever the score. We'll already be safe.

The Mirror
Doyle or no Doyle, Royals survive.

Reading survive in the Premier League for another season against a backdrop of their young striker Kevin Doyle being linked with a move to Everton.

...and Derby will already be relegated, so there will be no press attention at all. Just a meaningless end of season match. Hopefully.

When we go down the headlines in the tabloids will no doubt take the p1ss out of Kitson's Premiership survival being the priority over FA cup comments.

I'd also go for - "Coppell loses his bottle again" as he walks out for a break from football as a result of the pressure

King Coppell looks set to maintain his Manager of the year title as Reading complete a club record 12 straight wins in the Premiership to once again just miss out on qualification for Europe.
Steve says "We are not yet ready for Europe but with our ground extension due to take place in readiness for the 2012/3 season we can look forward to making a real challenge then when Marcus and Murts will be in their prime and I will also look forward to blooding young Academy players in some of the cup competitions before 2020".
Or
King John abdicates.
Pride Park was full of no semblance of pride as these two already relegated sides left the Premiership arena with Derby having registered the lowest points record ever and Reading having set a Premiership record of 18 successive defeats before this bore draw.
Reading chairman elect Vladimir Lotzocas was remarkably upbeat after attending the game with John Madejski,Cilla Black,Amy Whinehouse and Britney Spears said "I am glad to have paid £150 million for a club which next season I feel will beat the record of 106 points in the Championship and within 3 years will compete with the other hoops run by my good friends from the mafia and F1 for the Premiership title.
My manager tells me that I won't need to spend any money on players because they are a good tight-knit set-up (whatever that means), will bounce back from this run of defeats and Glen Little may play some part next season, probably after Christmas."
