Floyd, when I saw you had posted on this thread I felt sure you'd be debating whether Reading would be playing Aldershot or Torquay in a couple of years' time...

If you want some real misery check the recent records of some other lower league neighbours :-
i) in the same league as Wokingham:-
Eton Wick P22 W0 D2 L20 F12 A89 [and they've been like this for the last couple of seasons - since they won the league in 04/05 ]

ii) in the Wessex League, another one on a bad run since a win on 20th October :-
AFC Aldermaston P15 W0 D1 L14 F11 A70 [at least their excuse is a (possibly enforced?) promotion to a level they clearly can't cope with!]

... mind you they weren't that much cop the last time they got to this level about three/four years ago - so they must have known what it would be like.

By contrast, also promoted to the same division, now with a shiny new ground Tadley Calleva are whupping all and sundry and are 13 points clear with 13 left.
(Don't all rush though- they don't have a bar yet! )

Just took a walked down to Maiders ground and had a look - the pitch is in cracking condition.

Not that this has any relevance!

Steady on. 6 points in it with The Gulls having two games in hand.

And the Shots still have to go to Plainmoor............

Andy Gurney has now signed for Newport from Weston, saying he regrets having chosen Weston over Newport a year ago, before leaving them for Havant then back to Weston. Saw him at Xmas and his legs have gone but still a great organizer and takes a mean dead ball.

I'm off to watch Basingstoke Town v Havant and Waterlooville this afternoon.

Will be taking along a job lot of sovereign rings to sell to the travelling hordes from the south coast. I'm not sure the Camrose will be able to cope with their 6,000 loyals fans.

Can someone work it out when Torquay are at the same number of games played as Aldershot, or does Setanta have some sort of grudge against Torquay?

Game over after 30 mins.

Stevenage have an impressive away record too.

Still, good news for the PO chasing pack, ie - The Grecians :D
