Nine more for a ton of league goals, save your tributes for then. Does the 101 include Intertoto Cup goals? Charity Shields?

Congratulations to a top class Premier League midfielder who never quite made the step up to international level.

for a short while he did, 04-05, but the Gerrard situation was never really sorted.

tbh hope he doesn't really get back in now, his time has passed really.

It's Lampard's tragedy that any analysis of his often excellent performances is incomplete without considering his partnership, or lack thereof, with Gerrard.

good at scoring goals, not a lot else. poor at international level generally, if Kes is going to bring Gerrard into that, well he's not been great for England, but better than fatty.

One of the most overrated players in the country. I doubt he'd show much form at another club, Chelsea's approach very much suits him. That isn't a compliment.

I've suddenly decided that I rate Frank Lampard very highly indeed.

Untrue. Replace "generally" with "recently".

Also, as well as scoring goals, he is pretty dynamic, especially in attacking areas, and is involved in everything that Chelsea do in and around the box.

It isn't a compliment that he is an essential part of a side which has for the past several years been one of the best in the country?

agree, total non-sequitur. he'd definitely improve Liverpool, Gerrard-awkwardness notwithstanding, and until the start of this season would've been perfect at Utd playing alongside Hargreaves
